Volvo Cars White Plains Service & Parts Center

We have been loyal customers of this service center for many years and have always associated the high prices with quality service. With our last maintenance visit, we were completely let down. First, the sway bar links weren’t correctly replaced (a service that was furthermore completely unnecessary) and we received a faulty and possibly unsafe vehicle. This issue was later fixed, but this is disappointing nonetheless. Second, after checking the oil level a couple of days after the service, we realized that the mechanics had completely overfilled the engine with oil, to about twice the recommended amount. Coming from a service center that charges such high prices, this is absolutely disappointing, especially considering that we spent over $8,000 on this service. Another disappointing experience is that we have repeatedly mentioned a persisting issue with the vehicle, only to always receive the same answer: “unable to replicate.” This has been going on for many years and after a significant amount of money spent. If you need to service your Volvo, especially an older model, go find a different mechanic. The price does not equal quality or trustworthiness.

Do not bring your vehicle to this Service Center. Period. Find somewhere else. My experience bringing my vehicle to this shop over the past few months has been nothing but frustrating, draining, and disappointing. I brought my Volvo to be serviced here after experiencing stalling while the car was idle. Big mistake. They charged me $4,000 in repairs that, in hindsight, were unnecessary and entirely unhelpful. I had to bring my vehicle back a few months later because the problem was still persisting, even after the repairs. Mechanics that have looked at my engine since then indicate that there are screws missing and things all out of place. Throughout this whole process, the members of my service team at Volvo White Plains were avoidant. They dodged my calls and told me that my car had been looked at, even when it hadn't. Everyone I know who has been to this shop has not had a good experience. I will never go back, and if you're considering taking your car here, I recommend you look elsewhere. *Update: Following service at this service center, my car has now been deemed irreparable after months of attempts. This shop ruined my mint condition vehicle permanently.

I'm a loyal Volvo customer and still value the brand for its safety and reliability, but will not return to this location for service or future purchases. After a routine oil change and maintenance, our one-year-old XC90 started leaking oil just a few days later, with warning lights while driving. This was a serious safety concern and required towing the car back. The issue was eventually fixed, but the process was frustrating. We were incorrectly charged loaner-related fees twice and had to follow up multiple times to have them removed. Communication and follow-through felt inconsistent throughout.

Horrible service! Bought a brand new car that gets water in the headlights. They changed the lights and still happens so they tried to say it’s normal. Basically told me I’m beat. This is my 2nd brand new car purchase in 2 years but never again. The vice President Jeremy Abramson was a nasty jerk. Richie, John and Frank did nothing to help besides telling me it’s normal to have water in headlights on a 26 xc90. The manager John admitted it’s not normal but didn’t help me either. Terrible customer service. They take your money and say screw you after. Worst dealership! Do yourself a favor and don’t give them your business.

Five star for Lana And the young man who helped me at the reception desk on Saturday. The Owner of the dealership should be happy with people like this. It’s very hard to get good help and people that care. They helped me change the battery in my key fob, which hasn’t been working for a while with a new battery in it. They’re extremely helpful. I appreciate that because you don’t see that much in the younger generation.
