COMPLETELY DISHONEST AND CARELESS! I brought my car to Hoselton Toyota service for new tires, thinking they’d treat my car with care. My family and I have done business with them several times in the past, and figured they would be more careful with my car than a discount tire center would be. My mistake. 1. Price Gouging: I expected an inflated fee for installation, which I was willing to eat since I assumed they would be careful not to damage my car. They initially quoted me prices for the wrong (more expensive) tires, then came back with the correct tire price that actually matched competitors. I was semi-optimistic, that is until they jacked the price back up by over $100/tire and put me off until the end of the week when my car had already been towed there. With limited options, I had to accept them taking advantage of my situation. Total lack of transparency and integrity. 2. They Damaged My Car: Two of my rims were scratched- one extensively- during service. I’m extremely meticulous with my car and know every flaw on it. I pointed out the new damage immediately. The service advisor gave me a string of excuses: claimed it was already there, blamed the tow truck, then said it was caused by the flat tire- none of which were true. I saw myself that the rims were not damaged after the car had been towed there, and neither of the damaged rims were even the wheel that had the flat tire. And even the video from their own service bay showed the undamaged rim when they started work. The service advisor told me to take the car and hold off on paying the bill until the service manager followed up with me. It's now days later with no call back and no resolution. I have personally called the service manager four times and have yet to receive a response. Meanwhile, my car is damaged and they’re ghosting me, without it having been paid for, no less. I’m sure they won’t just call it a total loss so I’m not sure why they’re putting me off. I want to pay for my car, but not at that overinflated price when my car was damaged during service and their service advisor blatantly lied right to my face about it. I won’t refuse to pay, but I’m not about to let this go either. Bottom line: Hoselton Toyota service overcharges, damages vehicles, and lies to cover it up. If you care about your car, stay far away. If you still decide to go there, document everything before handing over your keys. I’ll update my review if I actually get an acceptable resolution.

The place has turned into a joke!!! Service writer Matt is clueless about anything mechanical. The service desk is now nothing but a bunch of trained sales reps trained to upsell you.on Friday March 27th,I was told that they can NOT give me an estimate on getting my shocks replaced.It has to be brought in , put on the rack by a mechanic , who will look at the issue , make a complete list of parts needed and give the list to the parts department who will then " source" the parts and then give the numbers to the service writer who will then play middle man,and relay the info to me. Question number 1, why deal with the middle man? Get rid of the middle man,charge me less.2nd,what happened to the flat rate book,Its an estimate,not a final bill.Now heres the REST OF THE STORY..... On Wednsday March 25th I DID have the truck in for service( that I did get an estimate for prior th bringing the truck in).The mechanic did do the little UPSELL video where they point out what else is wrong with the vehicle and he specifically said in the video , for each item he listed , that a quote would be provided to fix the pointed out problems. Where in lays the first problem, those estimates were not provided , nor discussed when truck was picked up. I only learned of them after watching the video. So when I pointed that out to the service rep Matt , that doesn't know anything mechanical about the truck , because of course he's only a trained salesperson hiding as a service writer , I was told , sorry there is nothing we can do. You'll have to bring it back in again. I have been a loyal Hoselton Toyota customer since June 1999. I can now , see why all my friends that were Master Toyota mechanics , have left this establishment. it is turned into an absolute joke. They have lost a customer. When I buy my next Toyota, it will not be from Hoselton , nor will any of my Toyota service ever be done at Hoselton again this is turned on an absolute joke.

My car was vandalized by some type of rodent, probably a squirrel. Feasted on some wires. The car was not drivable and was towed to Hoselton Toyota. Shaylynn, my advisor was wonderful. As this was an emergency situation I was impressed by the fact that they had the time to look at it the same day. Once the problem was discovered work began. I knew the car would have to stay overnight but was delighted to learn service was completed by noon. I have been a customer of Hoselton’s for decades. Their professionalism is at a high level and I always receive quality care. I wasn’t expecting to learn that rodent attacks on car engines were not unusual but the Hoselton employees made a bad situation much easier to weather.

I want to recognize Andy at Hoselton Toyota Service in East Rochester for his professionalism, knowledge, patience and communication ability. Hoselton Toyota Service is a highly functional organization and I would recommend anyone who wants to have their care repaired properly with good communication along the way leverage Hoselton Toyota.

Took my 2017 RAV4 in for a safety inspection on Jan 23, 2025. they said every looked good and you're good to go for another year. They gave me the invoice to pay and the key fob for the vehicle. I paid the invoice without looking it over carefully...When out to get in my vehicle...Oh no, I can't find my vehicle...Went back inside. They gave me the wrong invoice and key fob...I waited another hour to get my vehicle and another invoice to pay. Well, now Hoselton Toyota on 50 Marsh Rd., East Rochester, NY 14445 WILL NOT CREDIT MY DEBIT ACCOUNT FOR THE FIRST DEBIT I MADE IN ERROR !!!!!!!!!!! WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS THAT CAN'T MAKE REFUNDS ??? I don't believe it. Talked to the good people at KeyBank in Penfield, NY to verify the debit...And yes, they printed out a transaction statement for me...I then went the Hoselton Toyota again to show them and after arguing with the service tech, he finally talked to his manager and his manager said they would credit my account...I am still waiting for that credit to appear...It may take 48 hours to clear...I hope so....
