2015 Ram 1500 with 6 speed transmission that gave up on me after 177k miles. Took it to Vanessa and her team to get it checked and found out that needed to be rebuilt or a new one. Because she didn’t push me to make a fast decision i went home and was able to think about it for a couple of days. I decided to pull the trigger and get a new transmission with Vanessa and her team. Vanessa, and the team at AAMCO East Rochester did an excellent job on my 2015 Lexus GX460. They replaced the transmission with a remanufactured unit, explained the work clearly, and completed a major repair professionally. The invoice was detailed, the process felt organized, and I appreciated the 36 month / 100,000 mile warranty. For a big transmission job, they made the experience as smooth and confidence-inspiring as possible. My Lexus drives like new. Highly recommend.

I can not speak of price, but I can speak of service. Since I own a transportation company with a fleet of 9 vehicles, this is most important to me. Vanessa tells you what's up and what you need and STANDS BEHIND HER WORK. They installed a new rebuilt transmission about a year ago and it failed not quite the transmissions fault. AAMCO with out question, ordered and installed another transmission at no cost to me. That's about $4,500, that I could have been on the line for. Its a no frills - no Keurig in the waiting room type of place, but they get the job done and stand behind it. I've had a couple of transmission's there. I know.

I’m very pleased with my experience working with the good folks over at the East Rochester AAMCO transmission shop! About a year ago I had purchased a vehicle through an auto auction, and despite otherwise being in excellent condition it turned out to have a faulty transmission. Given the complex powertrain design of the vehicle (a late-2000s front-wheel-drive V8 Cadillac), the mileage (103K miles), and the preventative / diagnostic work I had already done (fluid & filter change, shift solenoid replacement), the AAMCO team did not suggest investing any additional time or money in further disassembling the transmission to go searching for the cause of the erratic shifting, rather they suggested a full replacement for peace of mind. Unfortunately for me, replacement with a fully-rebuilt transmission was going to cost as much as the vehicle was worth. However, at my request the AAMCO team instead agreed to install a known-good transmission sourced from a salvaged vehicle, a more cost-effective approach for a vehicle of that age that other local transmission shops I spoke with refused to consider. I’m delighted to say that AAMCO completed the work in line with their original repair estimate, and now my car is 100% back in the game. A big Thank You to Vanessa and the entire team for being accommodating and working with me on this “win-win” solution! Next time I need transmission work, AAMCO in East Rochester will be my first call!
