Cortland llandfill

I have been living in the area for about 5 years. The people that work there are the best. Always nice, always helpful!

It’s not bad but the wait times can be long. If two or three people are here it takes 20+ minutes to dump. They should have two dumping lanes. One is too slow for a facility of this size. Great people and customer service though.

I have lived in Cortland for a little over eight years. And all over the world before that. The best public service I got in town was at this place. The facility is well-organized and easy to use. The lady at the post is attentive and amicable.

Nice place for a landfill! Friendly people who are willing to help. We had a flat tire on the work trailer and their maintenance department helped get us to their shop, get the wheel off the trailer and tried to fix it. They even called local businesses to find us a replacement tire. They really went out of their way to help get us back on the road at NO CHARGE!!!! Very impressed with the people who work here!!!

Everyone or Every address that serves multiple residents should be given a recycable bin free of charge. Recycling isn't an option that should be a "monetary gain" for your privately held business when recycling is the responsible thing to do, so toxic chemicals aren't making it into our tap water.
