Nice folks at this Detroit Diesel location, and they accept 3rd party NTP warranty UNLIKE Tracey Road Freightliner next exit up. I dealt with service department personnel and they were friendly and kept me in the loop as a company driver better than my company did. Small driver lounge through the staff lunchroom where you can wait until it's time to go to the hotel to wait. Parking for half a dozen truck/trailer combos and a bunch more smaller straight jobs. Airport Inn 0.8 mile walk from here. It's doable. I did it.

Nice folks at service. 5 spaces for long trucks, big campers, or trailers. About 20 other spaces for shorter trucks or buses. Service entrance on the right side of the building near the dock. They did a fuel pump job for us on a third-party warranty that freightliner doesn't deal with. I'd choose these folks to work on anything they said they could do. Professional and courteous. Fixed it correctly and completely. If I had to make a complaint, it would be no courtesy shuttle to a hotel, and there are several with a mile or two. I walked with a heavy bag to the former Best Western for my multi night stay. Would've been a nice touch on a 5-figure repair bill to have had someone offer me (the driver) a lift to a hotel. Other repair shops have done it in the past, as breakdowns are stressful enough to the driver without the added mental gymnastics. Lots of food choices in the area if you are on a multi day wait for repairs

Our 2008 Prevost's Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine was losing power and the check engine light was coming on while on uphill grades, with a sound like an air leak. We called S&S and they got us in right away, pressure tested the CAC system, found a tear in the turbo boot, replaced defective parts, and had us back on the road in a few hours at a very reasonable price. The entire staff were very competent, professional and friendly. Well done to everyone at the Latham Stewart & Stevenson Atlantic Detroit Diesel - Allison repair facility! We will come back if we are back in the area!

What a great bunch of People. Our RV went into protect mode and wouldn’t go out of 1st gear. The service department was able to slip us in and fixed our issue the next day. Technician did a great job of diagnosing and fixing the problem and get us back on the road in 1 day. Very professional and personable people. I would HIGHLY recommend Stewart & Stevenson. Thank you for getting us back up and down the road in a short order of time.

Beware! I am so glad I took my motor home for a second opinion! They told me I had a bad transmission and wanted $10,695 to put another one in. I asked If that’s the best price they could do and they instantly dropped to $9,079. This raised lots of red flags to me!! I took it to another Allison transmission shop and they did their tests and said the transmission is perfect! The problem was a $22 plugged fuel filter on the engine. The engine was not getting enough fuel so was lacking power which made me think there was a transmission problem. Please get a second opinion!! I have put quite a few miles on motor home since and she runs like a top!!!!
