I live in Manhattan and drive 2.5 hours to get my car serviced here. Service at Precision has always reminded me of those small-town repair centers you see on 50s and 60s television shows. They make me feel like family. Everyone is congenial and service is "literally" given with a smile. They "own" what they service. I may be unique, but I've never had an issue that they could not solve to my ultimate satisfaction. My car is my "baby" and they take care of her with sensitive hands. Some time ago, I brought my 2008 Volvo S60 in for an alignment and a diagnostic service. I had been experiencing a "Reduced Engine Power" light that would illuminate periodically, and the check engine light would occasionally appear and then disappear after a day or two. Upon dropping off the vehicle, I received a call to pick it up after the alignment was completed. When I arrived, I found that both the alignment and the diagnostic service were rather expensive. I was informed that they would recommend removing the transmission to inspect for loose or weak grounds, as this was a potential cause. More recently, I had the vehicle serviced at a different location, where it was determined that the issue was a crankshaft position sensor. I am left wondering why a Volvo specialty shop would suggest such a costly and involved procedure when a simpler solution was ultimately found. Additionally, I learned that the alignment was outsourced, and I was charged an additional fee for that service.

I purchased a 4 year old Volvo from Precision Automotive in 2001 when my daughter was a 1 year old. That Volvo was easily one of the best investments I've ever made. Our daughter is now 24 years old and is still driving the same car. We have been a customer for service on our car for more than 20 years and I consider the folks at Precision friends. I have taken my 16 year old Volvo C 32 to Precision twice. I would never take it anywhere else. They are professional and always share information with you. They do wonderful work and I trust them completely with my car. They always communicate prior to making repairs. I can’t say enough good things about them!
