Northway Toyota Service Center

I dropped off my car at my appointment time at 10:20 am on Saturday. Allesandra Tricomi was my service advisor. I told Alle that I needed my car back that day. It was a maintenance appointment and a couple issues that they needed to look into including ‘airbag system malfunction’. I told Alle to call and let me know what they find out about the airbag system malfunction, so I know if they need to order parts or if it will take longer than a day to repair, so I can plan accordingly. It’s 4 pm, and I haven’t heard from her at all, so I call her, and she says, “I don’t know, your car’s in the shop.” She hasn’t asked the service people to check on the status once all day. I remind her again that I need my car back today before they close in a couple hours, and she just tells me that they should be done shortly (again, doesn’t bother calling the service people and checking on the progress). I come in at 5:15 since I still haven’t heard back at all, and they close at 6, and now she finally calls the service people for the first time. She tells me that they looked at the airbag issue for 4 hours and don’t know what is wrong, then she tells me that the service person who worked on my car (Frankie) did not have the tool to diagnose the problem because the service manager was out today. So the service guy spent 4 hours to diagnose without the necessary tool??? It doesn’t make any sense. I tell Alle that I’m taking my car back, and someone from the service center tells her that they still need to put in the oil, so I waited for 20 more minutes for them to get the routine maintenance done. They had 7 hours to work on my car and did nothing, and the advisor, Allesandra Tricomi set there all day, didn’t check on the status once. They wasted my time and didn’t do their job.

Came here for oil change. And left the place. Half an hour later, I realized weird sounds coming from the car. my exhaust was cracked. I dont know if it's a coincidence. But I didnt do anything wrong in that half an hour. I came back to service. First they wanted to charge to check it again. But then they pull the car inside for free and showed me the crack. Exhaust must be change. Huge amount of money. They did something over there for short term. And thats it. I appreciated their total behaviour. Service menager's efforts to explain things to me was genuine. There is no sound comig from the car now. I thing they welded. They didnt charge anything extra. But I'm still not sure if it was my fault or their fault. (Their waiting place was perfect)

Excellent communication. Problem couldn't be corrected but was explained and will get in touch with me. Payment was high but like many services nothing is cheap any more. Thnx again
