Ford of Latham Service

I scheduled an appointment for an inspection. When I got there a very nice young man helped check me in and told me an hour. I was wondering why make an appointment if a simple inspection would take an hour. It hasn't taken that long when I would bring my car in on the spot to a mechanic. During the time I was waiting I got a video of the inspection showing my brakes needed to be replaced. I waited a few minutes and saw the young man helping someone else. He left that customer at the cashiers station where the he later finds out that all the cashiers have went to lunch. I then walk back to talk to him about the video I got and that I needed to check out. He said he wanted to put the price for the breaks on my inspection report. I said ok and went to wait again. The customer waiting at the cashiers counter then was told by the service rep that the cashiers were on lunch and he would help check him out. At that time I approached him again to ask if I could check out soon because I had a meeting to get to and he said he was working on my paperwork meanwhile others were sitting around doing their work. Why couldn't the rep ask for help to get customers checked out? He then finds me in the lobby to check me out and thentells me he is sending a link for me to check out. Why wasn't that an option 10 min earlier? I thought their attention to detain during the inspection was great but their scheduling, and checking out proceess was a cluster. Hopefully it was an off day.

Ford of Latham contacted me about setting up an appointment. It was easy and painless. I was treated with respect and every employee I encountered was friendly. Service Technician did an excellent inspection video. He was precise and to the point. I definitely recommend both sales and service.

Latham Ford offers some really nice features including a mobile service that can meet you anywhere to do routine maintenance (super convenient). I also really liked the video from the mechanic showing things they found mid service. Make sure to consult your vehicle Owners Manual for scheduled service intervals so you don’t spend unnecessary money. I couldn’t remember at what mileage I had my coolant replaced last so I said yes to the $300 service that they recommended only to find it wasn’t due for another 80k miles according to my manual.

I went in for my brakes. Ron Draves went above and beyond in helping me. I was so impressed with the telephone text communication, I never experienced that before. Nothing like seeing the problem 😔. Great team keep up the good work.

Worst experience ever. Had appointment on a Friday to wait with my truck for oil change and some minor warranty items.Decided to drop it off night before. Received a text first thing in the morning saying i would be billed for warranty work diagnostic if they find its customer related. Thought that was odd because truck is stock and has 15,000 miles with a rattle in front end. Never heard a word all day. Called in the evening and they said 7 of their techs called in and they did not complete the work. Oil was done but not warranty but they were open Saturday. Told them I was leaving for a trip on Monday with truck and I need it repaired. No response back. Called Saturday they told me they could probably do the oil (that they said was done day before) but I would have to bring truck back on Monday. (Needed the truck on Monday for trip) customer service girl was rude. I will not return.
