I had been bringing my vehicle here for repair and maintenance for three years. At first they did a great job. The past two visits were abysmal. May 2025 my car's check engine light went on. I brought it in and since I had an ODB reader I told them the code. They re-read it anyway and charged me labor. I didn't get the car back for days (they blamed the parts guy). Then when I pick it up, and was about two blocks away from their shop, the check engine light went on again and so did the overheat alarm. I went right back, they were already closed up. So I had to wait a couple more days to get my car back (they're closed on weekends). Turns out they didn't burp it properly. My coolant was low the next time I got an oil change (somewhere else) February 2026. Fast forward... May 2026, the coolant is low again and the check engine light went on. When I dropped the car off I left an explicit note with the code, said to not to read it again (if it would be an extra fee) and that it is leaking coolant please fix that. Did they fix the leak? Nope! They replaced an unrelated part (that may or may not have even been broken how would I know?) and never checked for a leak because they "didn't see anything". Just over two weeks later the car is trailing coolant forcing me to take it somewhere else and pay a premium (over the holiday weekend) to get it repaired. I'll never go here again and you shouldn't either.

these folks are the best! Dale, Kelly, and Ed are so honest, fair, and professional that I will only bring my cars to their shop for any work. If you're looking to get any work done to your vehicle this is the best shop you could bring it to, it will be done right and affordable every time. I also bought a car here a few years ago, and I never had any issues with it at all, i was young and they taught me all about how to maintain the car, and always took the time to answer any questions I had. This Auto Center is a staple in the community and deserves an award for the best auto center experience you'll ever have!

He is a magician with cars. He always explains what is wrong and always shows me the bad parts. I live in Scotia and drive to Cohoes even if it is just for an oil change. I love this place!!
View on GoogleFamily owned and operated. Been my go to for cars, and repairs since 1999. Until now, brought a vehicle in bought from Ed. Alternator replaced, and a flat tire issue. Was told the tire was fine, brought car home. Tire flat hours later. Called to let Kelly know. She suggested a bad rim, or inside the tire issues. I let them know roadside assistance SHOWED me there was a hole the day I dropped off( it needed a plug). Asked me if I was towing it to them, NO! How about a refund for the unfixed tire?? How about bring it to us ASAP, we'll take care of it...
