I had a very bad experience with Max Auto Repair. Unfortunately, I felt lied to about pricing and labor costs. I came in because my car needed the front right control arm replaced. I was told the part would cost $250 and $50 for labor, and I agreed. Later, they said the front axle also needed to be replaced and quoted $200 for it. That price sounded very high, so I checked AutoZone and found the axle for around $80. I also checked the price of the front control arm, which was about $130. When I confronted them, they changed their story and said the part was $150 and labor was $150, even though their own board clearly lists labor at $100. The prices kept changing, and nothing matched what was written or what parts actually cost. This made me lose trust completely. I expect honesty and transparency from a repair shop, and sadly I did not get that here. I would not recommend this place and suggest others double-check prices before agreeing to any work.

Max Auto Repair & Tire Inc is excellent place of business. When I first received service I was BROKE and never met any of there employees. I explained my situation and how important it was to have it repaired and they fixed my car on my word and deed that says alot about Max Auto love guys and thanks for always taking care of my car.

Nori and his team helped us out when we were stranded in Buffalo over Christmas with a leaking valve cover gasket on our BMW. Even with some challenges sourcing the parts during the holidays, they completed the repair in a reasonable timeframe, communicated clearly throughout, and charged a fair price. Honest, reliable workmanship - hard to find these days.

Brakes smelled like they were burning immediately after install. They said drive it another week sometimes brakes do that when they are new. The calipers seized up due to being installed improperly. Wanted me to pay out of pocket for the calipers. Said “the calipers have nothing to do with the brakes”. Pretty sure calipers have everything to do with the brakes but okay. The brakes and rotors are only under warranty at their shop, so after paying $800 I can’t go anywhere else and don’t trust them to do it properly. Save yourself the money and the headache.
