FR Smith & Sons Marina

We had an absolutely fantastic time with F.R. Smith & Sons! We went out on a pontoon boat with a group of 10, including 4 kids, and it was perfect for us. The boat itself was really nice and looked relatively new, which made the trip even better. Our captain, Scott, took us around Lake George for two hours, and it was a really, really nice ride. Scott is a super nice guy and made the whole experience so much fun for the whole family. Highly recommend booking with them if you're in Bolton Landing!

We rented the 24’ pontoon for a day out with family and friends, and it couldn’t have gone better. The boat was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for everyone. The staff at F.R. Smith & Sons was welcoming, helpful, and got us out on the water quickly. We made some great memories on Lake George and will definitely be renting from them again. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely incredible day with Captain Tom from FR Smith & Sons in Lake George! From the moment we set out, he shared fascinating facts and local history about the lake and surrounding areas, making the experience both fun and informative. Captain Tom was kind, welcoming, and made sure our day was unforgettable. He took us to Paradise Bay and even found a spot for some small cliff jumping. We spent the day swimming, laughing, relaxing, and taking in the breathtaking views of the green mountains surrounding the crystal-clear water. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. This was by far the highlight of our trip to Lake George, and we can’t recommend Captain Tom and FR Smith & Sons enough. If you’re looking for a memorable day on the lake, this is an experience you don’t want to miss!

I have been doing business with FR Smith for more than 10 years. Great place to rent a boat, big or small. I prefer the smaller boats but my brother loves the bigger engines, likes the speed. They have been very helpful in getting me set up for my multi day island vacation, boats have always performed well and been in great condition. They also offer water taxi which I used this year which was great, dock to dock service. Although slightly unnerving knowing that I had no way off the island…..except kayak. Lake George is a truly unique and special place. Smith’s helps make that happen.

From start to finish, their customer service was top-notch, every single staff member was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made the entire process so smooth and stress-free. Renting was quick and easy, and they took the time to make sure we felt comfortable and prepared before heading out. The boat itself was in excellent condition, clean, comfortable, and perfect for a full day on the lake. We had such an amazing time out on the water. The views of lake George were spectacular. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, seamless, and enjoyable lake day!
