I had to cut my camping trip short because my van started sounding like a Harley. Then lights started flashing on the dashboard so I knew I would be in for an expensive repair. Most shops don’t accept walk-ins on weekends but I found Mexicali Muffler & Radiator. The owner and his welder diagnosed the issue quickly then gave me my options. I asked if they could fix the issue instead of full on OEM replacement which my regular mechanic told me I would need since this issue happened in the past with them charging for parts and mounts, sensors, and O2 sensor spacer. My regular mechanic never gave me a cost effective solution. But Mexicali did. Thankfully. Everything was smooth. They fixed the cause of the Harley sound. Except when it came to payment they did not accept the only credit card (AmEx) I had. At this point I felt like a crack-head trying to barter them into holding personal property until I can get the payment I owed them. I was STRESSED OUT is putting it lightly. The owner was very patient with me and his welder also. They went above and beyond to help me. Luckily I was able to get a cash advance off my credit card but only after spending over an hour running all over town trying to get this straightened out (I did not have Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal active on my only account with money. And being the weekend transfers take days. I felt relieved to finally get the cash to pay for the excellent work they did. Dealing with customers is hard, can you imagine having to deal with a customer who doesn’t have the money to pay for the work that just was done? They took a lot of stress off me by fixing the problem and by being patient with me considering I only had a credit card. I can’t thank them enough. 5-Stars!!!
