DO NOT GO HERE They replaced my transmission in a 3rd gen 4runner. I provided the new oem trans filter and a new rear main seal. Ran like shit, I found the kickdown cable was broken (they didn't mention is was broken, mention it and I would have paid to replace it) i decided to change it myself. I dropped the pan and guess what, they didn't even install my filter. There was zero filter installed. Later I found they didn't even put the inspection plate on. So I was driving around with no filter, no inspection plate and a broken kickdown cable. None of this was mentioned to me. Worst experience I've ever had, now I do all my own work, even pulling my own motor because I don't trust any shop. They owe me money for my oem filter but I'd rather not see them again Finally posting my review now because I found the inspection plate missing and figure they now deserve 1 star. I'll have my motor out soon and will be able to report if they actually changed the rear main seal

Apparently my previous review got removed. I went in 3 years ago to have my transmission rebuilt. I was excited to see it would only be $1400 for a full rebuild. I talked with Edgar for some time and he told me (and wrote on the receipt) it would be ready between Tuesday-Thursday, and I confirmed as that was only 5 days. Well Thursday comes around and I’m told it’ll be ready the next day, and the next day comes and I’m told it’ll be the next day, so now the next day and I’m told they’re test driving it and he’ll call me. I had someone that lived nearby go check and they said it was just sitting there. So I call them and it’s “ready”. I was annoyed it took longer than he promised despite be asking if he was sure (i told him I had to leave in a trip), But I understand stuff happens. That was 3 years ago. Since then I’ve found out 2 of my transmission mounting nuts were missing, 2 rear transmission to transfer case nuts were missing, the wire to my o2 sensor split (my guess is from the dents in the transmission tunnel/firewall probably indicates where that happened) and now 3 years later and the jeep is a brick because there is something wrong with the transmission. It’s cheaper because it’s cheaper...

Edgar knows his stuff! I was told at another repair shop that my transmission needed to be replaced. It pays to get a second opinion because I took it to #1 transmission and as I was describing the issue, Edgar basically finished by sentence because he knew exactly what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. Long story short, they fixed it for a reasonable price and it's been running fine for months now.
