Let's go! Auto Repair

I took my Corvette to Let's Go Auto Repair for a check engine light (code P0174 – System Too Lean Bank 2). Before bringing the car in, I clearly explained over the phone that I had just purchased the vehicle, it had already failed a smog test, and resolving this issue was urgent so I could register the car. I also explained that I had already purchased parts (O2 sensor, filters, etc.) and asked them to focus on common causes of this code—checking for vacuum leaks, damaged hoses, and cleaning the MAF sensor. I even told them I’d be fine replacing the MAF sensor if needed. When I arrived, the person I spoke to on the phone wasn’t there. A different employee had me sign paperwork and take the keys without seeming to know anything about my situation. I had to repeat everything again and emphasized multiple times that fixing the check engine issue was the top priority—not additional services like a brake fluid flush. Later, I got a call saying the check engine light wasn’t on. I had to suggest they properly cycle the car—something any competent mechanic should already know to do. Near closing time, they called again saying the car was ready. When I arrived, they showed me work that had been done, but when I asked if they cleaned the MAF sensor, the response was: “Were we supposed to?” Another employee asked if I had a can of MAF cleaner. Completely unprofessional. They attempted to charge me $300 for incomplete work and even failed to return one of the O2 sensors they replaced. After I complained, the owner offered 50% off, bringing it down to $150, which I accepted only because I was exhausted from the situation—not because the service was acceptable. The worst part came after I got home. I discovered new damage on my car door—a noticeable ding with chipped paint. I returned on Monday morning and asked the owner to review camera footage. She denied any responsibility and refused to help, even implying I wouldn’t have paid the original bill anyway. To make matters worse, I later took my car to another shop, where they simply cleaned the MAF sensor—and the problem was completely resolved. No more check engine light. This experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish: poor communication, incomplete work, missing parts, and vehicle damage with zero accountability. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Josue and Mike were super friendly and nice. I came in for a throttle cleaning and they had it done in 30 min. He explain everything to me and didn’t seem rushed or bothered at all. I told him I was gonna replace my filters myself and he went ahead and did them for me! Very friendly guys and great service he even showed me the pictures of my clean throttle! Will definitely be coming back for all my work. Good prices too. Thanks you guys!

I send everyone here! They have worked on our cars and my daughter’s car. Honest Fast Fair - what else can I say. Give these guys a chance. New brakes, oil change, water pump, anti freezer - leak they do it all.

I visited Lets Go! Auto Repair based on their glowing 4.9-star rating, expecting honest and professional service. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. I was told my car needed a part replaced, (evaporation control canister) costing $422. Trusting their reputation, I agreed and paid for what I believed was a *new* part. However, when I got home, something didn’t sit right. I decided to inspect the “new” part and was shocked to find they had cleaned and painted over the old part, passing it off as new. The paint was literally still drying. The worst part about all of this is that the part “needed” was actually never needed to be replaced. I immediately contacted management and headed the following day back to the shop. To their credit, they did address the issue, (although no one came forward) and I stayed until I personally saw that a genuine new part was finally installed. But this kind of behavior ,trying to deceive a paying customer, is completely unacceptable. It’s extremely disappointing to be taken advantage of, especially by a business with such a high rating. I’m sharing this so others are aware and stay vigilant. Double-check your repairs, no matter how trustworthy a shop may appear.
