JMR Auto Transmissions

Gave these guys my tranmission to rebuildon may 5. They said they can rebuild it and it'll be done by June called them on June 3rd to see if my transmission is done and said they can't find the parts knowing the fact that I told then what make and model of the car. They said it's going to cost over 2k to order the parts and put it back together. I said I'll just take back the transmission and they give it to me in parts. As I go through all the parts I find damages that was done from disassembly. See pictures I posted. Please check your transmission if you get it done here. As I was cleaning the parts I found more damaged items. Their labor starts at 700 dollars and this is the work they give out damaged items and I had to figure it out myself to find these damages

It took me over 2 weeks to get my van in to have the torque converter looked at as another auto repair place said I should, since I had my transmission fixed here. They looked at it then showed me the area that was supposedly rattling. I was able to tighten it myself drove it around and it’s still making that noise but now my engine sounds worse than when I brought it in after I just had a tune up. Do not spend your money here they do not respect the warranty at all.

In January of this year (2025), I was referred to go see Jorge at JMR Auto Transmissions by a good friend of mine because my transmissions was over heating and I was losing overdrive. I explained the problem to Jorge and what I had already done in my attempts to remedy it. Jorge carefully listened to my every word and then began checking my Jeep; he looked under the hood and the undercarriage for any visual signs of problems, he checked all fuses, then searched for the OBDI connecter and after a bit of digging around, he located it in the cab and checked for any codes - None found. Jorge then did some more looking around and noticed I still had the OEM Mopar cooler on my Jeep and stated I should replace it with a Hayden aftermarket, as they work much better and the one I had on there was likely clogged and inefficient. He also noticed in a picture I showed him of my previously removed transmission pan that there was some milky looking fluid in there and that it is likely that my radiator needs to be replaced, due to a leak. I thanked Jorge for his time, which was roughly 30-40 minutes spent troubleshooting, and asked what I owed him for the diagnosis and he would not take my money. Jorge is a good & honest man and I believe you should consider paying him a visit if you need any transmission work done. Thank you Jorge! I will be back the next time I need transmission work...

I was referred to the place next door from this business. Originally the guy next door was only supposed to fix my air compressor. He also told me he could fix it cheaper than what I was quoted at JMR. I spoke with the guy Jose Valdez. He stated he would charge me $1,600 and I had to pay $1000 up front to order my transmission. 4 weeks went by and still no transmission and he took my money of $1,000 and still has not returned funds. They also had someone ran sack my car and I had a ton of clothing in the trunk that they pick through and left the bags in the trunk. I have filed a police report and fraud through my bank. I would be Leary of this place for sure!

I have a 2007 ford F-150 4x4 I had an oil leak from the transmission. Jorge gave me two different quotes One was for $100 and the other was for $500 depending on the work that needed to be done. It turned out that the leak was coming from the transfer case it had too much oil. He drained some oil and solved the problem. He charged me $60 what an honest man. He could have easily charged me more money and I would have never knew the real problem. It's hard to find honest mechanics. JMR is a family-owned business. Hands down the best!!
