Frank-Mar Auto Repair Excellent customer service! I can say this shop practices, “Honesty is the best policy”. It was my first time visiting this shop. I had previously taken my car to a different shop for an oil change, and full car inspection where they quoted me $407 to replace my radiator hoses. I wanted a second opinion, so I found Frank-Mar Auto Repair at Nellis and Washington here in Las Vegas. Frank inspected my car and quoted me $100 less than the first shop. Not only did they fix the radiator hoses, but they also replaced my air filter, cabin filter, and oil cap with no extra labor charge—I only paid for the parts. What’s great about this shop is that they don’t upcharge on parts; in fact, their prices were lower than what you'd find at a regular auto parts store. They provide a detailed breakdown of both the job and the labor. Highly recommended!

Horrible shop, we pulled in to have them diagnose the grinding going into second in my manual transmission. Frank “helped” us, I explained the car grinds and won’t go into second when downshifting from third if the revs aren’t matched perfectly. He took it for a test drive and said it’s working perfectly, no problem. I asked him to get into the car with me so I could show him and he said “I don’t need to, I already drove it”. I could have shown him what he clearly missed, but I guess he thinks he knows better. Maybe Frank doesn’t have much experience with manual transmissions. He claims he’s certified 🤷♂️. I talked to an actual expert from a reputable transmission shop and he immediately diagnosed it as a band synchronizer. Don’t let these guys touch your vehicle.

View on GoogleFrank seems to be a very knowledgeable mechanic. I don't usually trust mechanics but I trust him. He will tell u what u need and what needs to be done and does it at a reasonable price. He's fixed 2 cars for me so far and I will continue to use him again. Highly recommend!!
