The worst experience I've ever had with a repair shop. I took my Honda Accord in for a timing belt repair. They charged me $620 and told me it was ready, but after driving for a short time, the P0012 code came up, which is related to the timing – a tooth was advanced. I took it back, and they said it wasn't their fault, and that despite the one-year warranty, they would have to charge me again because it was a sprocket (a camshaft gear). In other words, a timing component. Tired and wanting to get this problem resolved, I decided not to argue and paid again, but this time $775 (again, labor plus the sprocket). They assured me I wouldn't be stranded or have any further problems and guaranteed their work. In addition, they made me replace the tensioner and starter, which I had recently replaced, because, according to them, I had brought them in damaged, which is impossible. But I didn't have a problem doing it since, as I said, they were new and under warranty from the store. I replaced them without complaining. Five days after the second repair, the car broke down. I checked the engine and saw that a bolt was broken on the engine cover where the gas compression occurs, and another bolt was missing from a less important location, but for me, who values my car, all the bolts are important, whether they're on the engine or simply holding a cable or a plastic cover. In the end, I had to pay approximately $750 for a tow truck. When I arrived at the shop, I asked them to check it, and they found a valve in the third cylinder was completely broken. Once again, they wanted to charge me for the repair, knowing that the valve could only break due to incorrect timing. They gave me many illogical excuses so I wouldn't protest, and in the end, I went home with a broken car, a warranty that wasn't honored, and a legal process to begin because I believe my money shouldn't be wasted like this, as I manage my finances very carefully. In total, I've spent more than $2200, not counting all the secondary expenses I incurred. In conclusion, if you don't want to risk losing your money on shoddy work, I don't recommend leaving your car at this repair shop.
