I had a power steering issue and notice the check engine light appeared on my dash and took the vehicle to the shop back in February of 2026. The older gentleman who worked on my vehicle was very friendly and informed me that he gave me a free nut to my front left wheel as he said the tire could of flew out due to it being loose. He gave me a run down on the main problem along with other issues I had. I informed him that I needed the power steering system serviced for the time being and kindly declined other service offers for the new tire, alignment, and right arm controller which could have costed me a little over $2000. The mechanic was pretty quick in his service a little over an hour give or take. The service costed me about $722.57. Shortly after I lost my job and was not able to take residence up there, so I had to leave and notice I had a bad sterring fluid leak here in Texas after the Easter weekend. I have to take it to another mechanic and the man Jose for TNJ said that the mechanic at Smittys did not install the 0 rings leading to the power steering hoses that caused the severe leak. I had to pay another $150 for the faulty work. I have been trying to call the shop about 5 times, and it would go to voicemail and other times it sounds like someone is heard picking up the phone and then heard the phone hanging up. To this day I am still not able to get a hold of anybody. I am disappointed with the service and trying to see if there was something that we could have worked out. I decided to leave a bad review due to not being able to get a hold of anybody ever since the repair was done. Update: For your information sir, that list me just mentioned was additional work you suggested I needed to get done which you were correct, I did decline as I have mentioned above. As of today 07/21/2026, the mobile mechanic who is fixing my car said you installed a used steering pump which left me a huge repair of $2860 he said that have messed up my whole steering assembly system and my along with my steering gear box that explains why its making a horrible noise after the o rings have been installed. You all really need to reimburse me for this. You think I am just going around lying to people? Well I think you made made a mistake sir I have attached proof of service of the reciept hope that will refresh your memory and your computer. FYI my name is not Thomas. I am not a man if you look at the picture my name is on the reciept. My name may sound foreign but I am an American. Hope thats not the reason why I am getting bad repair service. I also attached the picture of your used steering pump you installed as well. Thanks.

I originally visited Smitty's in need of alternator repair, which a hard task being the placement is heavily buried under the hood. Upon later investigation they realized that I had lost a belt, and in fact the alternator still worked fine. After he double checked I was charged a couple hundred instead of the initial estimate of 1400. The mechanics and the office staff were more then kind and very honest. I would definitely recommend Smitty's

Smitty was able to check my car the same day of calling. Repairs were made which included an explanation of parts needed. Great communication, and I will definitely be returning for future automotive advice and/or repairs!

Smitty's Auto Service is the mechanic shopped you've always dreamed of, but didn't know if it really existed. Smitty is always friendly and works to get you in and fit you in when he can!
