They completed the repairs quickly, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. It’s refreshing to find an auto shop that truly values customer service, fair pricing, and doing the job right the first time. We brought our vehicle in a few days ago for what turned out to be a constantly running fan which drained the battery. The folks here communicated clearly and courteously at each step of the way. When we got the car back, unfortunately another repair issue cropped up. They were very thorough in figuring out the issue. Although it did take some time to get my car straightened out, I feel safe in it now. When we came in to collect the car the second time, my partner and I expressed our uncertainty and discomfort over the back to back bills for the two repairs. In response Sammy made sure we understood exactly what the repairs entailed, and he very kindly halved our second bill. That was very much appreciated, thanks guys!

The man helping me, Sami I believe, was super helpful and informative on the work needed on my car. Fair price too. I was able to make an informed decision after they answered all my questions. They were patient and kind to me. Even the front desk girls were super friendly and informative. They all made my situation a lot smoother. Big thank you!! Definitely recommend anyone comes here.

CROOKS !!!!!!!! BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!! In october of 2025 I took my vehicle here after noticing some issues and was told I needed new brakes and a driver side control arm. As I did not have the funds to pay for all of that at once, I asked which was more pertinent to the integrity of my car, to which they told me the brakes were urgent but that I should come back within that same week to address the control arm. That quoted me $780 for that repair on top of the brakes. After getting the brakes done, I took my vehicle to a trusted family friend who works on cars who looked at my vehicle and told me there was no issue with my control arm and that he would be comfortable driving my car to Florida as is. So, the control arm was never addressed. Now, in June of 2026, I dropped my vehicle off to a new mechanic in the next city over that I moved to to address a concern I noticed. Within 5 hours of having my car, they called me back with a diagnostic that my car needed an alignment and new set of tires. No control arm. Which further reiterates the fact that WASHTENAW AUTO ARE CROOKS. I took multiple vehicles here over multiple years of living in Ann Arbor because they were closest to where I lived and I thought they were trustworthy. They are not. Not only are they dishonest and will tell you your car needs repairs it doesn’t even need, THEY WILL TAKE MULTIPLE DAYS TO EVEN GIVE YOU A DIAGNOSTIC. AND THEY ARE NOT PROMPT WHATSOEVER ON CONTACTING YOU WHEN YOUR CAR IS READY FOR PICK UP. In October of 2025, when I last took my vehicle here, I was driving by washtenaw auto in a friends car and saw my car sitting in the parking lot ready to be picked up. They had had my car for nearly a week at this point. IT WASNT UNTIL I CALLED THEM THAT THEY TOLD ME I COULD PICK UP MY VEHICLE. I now wonder how many other times they have scammed me as I have given them business EASILY around 5-7 times from 2015-2025.

I’ve been coming to these guys now for about two years across 5 or so different repairs. I’m glad that I’ve found a shop that I can trust and keep coming back to. The managers and mechanics are incredibly kind, helpful, and honest. Sam and Shannon are wonderful. They’re not perfect. I’ve had pretty consistent issues regarding communication for timelines, work orders, and I’ve had to take my car back because jobs were incomplete or unsatisfactory (axel replacement -> poor wheel alignment for example). But they have been incredibly easy to work with and humble when these have come up and have always done their best to make up for it. I think that matters more than being perfect every time - nobody ever is. Thank you Washtenaw Auto!!
