FYI...Note to anyone looking to book or otherwise conduct business with GearHeads Rent-A-Hoist. This business is now operating under different name of Hoist Hub DIY Auto Garage and it appears to be under a different owner as well. I booked through GearHeads for some lift time and was surprised today when there was different signage posted and a new business name over the GearHeads one. Left a 5 star review only because I have been using GearHeads Rent-A-Hoist for a few years and without any problems. Owner Anthony was great to deal with.

Great place, recently installed a catless downpipe on my car there and they had all the tools I needed. Other people will be there working on their own vehicles at the same time, but everyone there is willing to help when you need it. The place is heated so in the winter it stays warm and when it gets hot the doors stay open to help cool everything down.

Absolutely the best place to get educated while working on your own car. Anthony and Charlie are amazing! Not to mention they have all the tools to make life easy! I broke an exhaust manifold bolt during removal and Anthony was right there to help, made the whole experience super easy! If your vehicle is currently at this shop, call the Waterford PD to get it back. Submitted a police report today. Truck was there since Aug 2025. He said it was fixed Nov 2025, I paid invoice in full, picked it up and issue was not fixed. Immediately took it back to him. He's had it since then and not able to fix it. Truck was impounded over the weekend but I was able retrieve it. Issue still not fixed, additional 3k unauthorized miles on truck.
