I can't thank Tuffy's in Wixom enough for helping me out today. After AutoZone informed me my car was not safe to drive, I was stranded about 45 minutes from home and extremely stressed. I called the shop and spoke with Terischa who was incredibly kind and reassuring. She told me they'd do their best to fit me in, which immediately took a huge weight off my shoulders. David the service manager had spent time with me explaining the parts needed and what they’d need to do. Josh who worked on my car then took the time to show me the old parts and explain how it went wrong. I seriously cannot praise this place enough. Their willingness to help during a stressful situation meant more than they probably realize. It's clear they genuinely care about their customers, and I truly appreciate the compassion and customer service they showed me today. Highly recommend!

I went to Tuffy’s for a coolant leak based on the good reviews I saw online, and I’m very disappointed with the experience. On my first visit, I clearly explained that my coolant was leaking. They inspected the car that day and quoted me about $1,600 to fix the issue, with over $1,000 just in labor. I thought the price was steep, but I agreed to the repair. They also told me the parts they installed would be covered by a 3‑year warranty. Less than a week later, I discovered another puddle of coolant under my car. I took it back, and this time they said they had found something else that was broken. The manager emphasized that their “A1 mechanic” had worked on my vehicle the first time, and then quoted me another $1,000 to fix it again. If their top mechanic couldn’t properly diagnose the problem the first time, I have to question how good that mechanic really is and why I should be paying almost the same amount again. It feels like either the work was not done thoroughly the first time, or they’re counting on customers coming back and paying more for what is essentially the same issue. I would not recommend them for major repairs, especially anything as critical as a coolant leak.

Best place in town! I needed brakes and didn’t have a ride back home. The technician drove me home and they gave me the best deal. They are under new ownership and it made a big difference. They are also running a great special on oil changes so I will be going back soon.
