This Auto repair shop is Awesome as well as the mechanics that work here. I won't take my vehicle's anywhere else. They are very genuine, respectful and honest here. I have recommended this place to everyone I know. Please take your vehicle there. You won't be disappointed!!

I brought my 2018 Equinox to Special One to fix a failed turbo, based on online reviews, and I was not disappointed. Abe was very helpful and accommodating in explaining to me the issues with my car, and dealing with a difficult situation regarding a warranty I had with my vehicle. He fixed my turbo, and it has been driving beautifully. He was very honest with the diagnosis and cost as well. I know this because another shop quoted me a lot more. It didn’t sit well with me so I brought it to Abe at Special One, and the cost was nothing except my warranty deductible compared to $2500 with my warranty at another shop. It’s extremely hard to find an honest mechanic who gets things done efficiently and communicates well with cost and diagnosis. I will never go anywhere else! Abe also fixed a difficult issue with my broken sunroof which another shop didn’t want to deal with. Abe and Special One are awesome! I highly recommend!

I'm 40 and in the 20+ years of me owning vehicles, I've never once taken my car to a shop.. I've always worked on/fixed my own stuff. It's cold in Michigan though and I don't have a garage.. I needed some front end components replaced on a new used car I bought and I really didn't feel like doing it in the winter so I dropped it off. I chose this shop primarily due to their existing reviews as well as distance from my home as it was in walking distance. Figured I'd give them a shot. I am very happy that I did and quite satisfied with the service that they provided. Sam was a pleasure to deal with, he made it clear what was wrong with the vehicle and even pointed out some things I had not noticed myself, sending me pictures during the phone call. His recommended course of action was exactly what I wanted, he didn't try to up sell me on service I did not want and very clearly knew the assignment/my expectations. The shop was also extremely fast, I dropped it off on a Monday and got it back the next day (I was not expecting it to be this quick). I was charged roughly $500 for two control arm replacements (one of which I provided, the other they sourced for me) and I am extremely satisfied with the price I paid. So yeah, as a person with mechanic skills and abilities, I highly recommend this shop to anyone who is curious about their service. They even put my seat back to its original position (I'm short so I sit close to the wheel lol).

I pulled into the parking lot at special one auto and I needed a few simple fixes they were busy but Abe and his team got on it right away and I got my car back the same day. Honest and a lot of help I will be back for any future repairs!!! 🙏🏽

Fuel tank straps rotted out and the tank fell off, breaking an EVAP line in the process. Abe was very thorough, let me know what's going on, everything being done to my car, and repairs to be aware of in the future with no pressure. He does his best to get you back on the road quick and without breaking the bank. Highly recommend.
