Yesterday (3/4/26) I brought in a minivan I bought used a couple weeks ago. I thought the transmission fluid looked a little dark and with over 100k miles on it, I figured it would be a good idea to do a fluid exchange and also have a mechanic take a look at the serpentine belt, as it is difficult to access without a jack or lift. Long story short, the mechanic who checked it out was of the opinion it didn't need to be done and they did not do the transmission service. I very much appreciated their honesty and was happy to have them sort out a few other issues they noticed during the inspection, such as an oil leak and contaminated brake fluid. I will definitely be back with both the van and my family's other vehicles. Thanks guys!

I try to not leave bad reviews for local businesses, but I feel compelled to report what happened. I brought my truck to Mack Auto Center 2 with a ticking noise. Very quickly, they identified the truck needed a new engine, which was very surprising considering it has only 48k miles. They soft quoted $8k for a used engine, or about $10k for a new one. I decided to get a second opinion, and they charged me $100 for the diagnosis. I took the truck to another shop today and received much better news. It has a damaged rocker arm and one cam shaft must be replaced, estimated at $3,000. The specialist told me this is a well documented issue with this engine, and the manufacturer does not recommend total engine replacement. He went as far as to say the issue was caught early. He showed me the technical service bulletins that outline the repairs required. Lastly, I called my dealer and they agreed with the assessment that the engine should have the rocker arms and any damaged cams replaced, but engine replacement is not recommended unless further damage is identified. Without doing to true assessment of what was needed, Mack Auto Center jumped straight to engine replacement, and charged me a diagnosis fee without doing a thorough diagnosis. Had I moved forward with their recommendation, I would have overspent on this repair by $5,000-$8,000.

I have brought my Trax in for several repairs over the last couple of years, including an oil cooler for turbo, thermostat, and coolant tube replacement, car tire pressure sensor replacement. The shop owner was very clear about what work needed to be done and what it would cost. I appreciated how clearly the owner explained the issue so I could understand why the repairs were needed. I will continue bringing my car here because I have had no issues with the service or repairs they provide.

Took my car in on a Saturday morning. Mechanic called me a couple hours later found the problem said they would have it fixed by Monday. They called me by 11am said my car was ready. Price was certainly fair. Everyone was very professional. I have taken my care there before. Being a single woman who really knows nothing about cars, I can count on them to give fair price and solid work.
