The team was great! The manager made me comfortable and feel confident that the issue with my Car would be fixed when I got my car back and it was! I was also told to follow up if I had any issues. I love places that actually care about their customers!

I was in the middle of showing Homes today because I’m a realtor and in the midst of that my tire started going lower and lower when I realized I needed to get it looked at quickly. I stopped at Gratiot automotive center right by my house, into my amazement they took my car in right away, not knowing I was in the middle of my workday and got my tire fixed expediently so I should be on my way and here’s the best part not only did they take very good care of me, but they also waived any fees to fix my flat tire, I would recommend anybody doing business here. When I get ready for my tires, I will be coming back here. Hope y’all have a good and safe day. Be blessed.

On March 6, 2026 (around 7:45 PM), a tow from 696 & Gratiot Towing—operating out of Gratiot Auto Center and dispatched through AAA—failed to secure a vehicle. It rolled off the truck and struck my gate and fence. The impact was severe: * Gate knocked off and steel hinges broken * Structural supports snapped * Fence slats broken * Concrete footing cracked The gate became non-functional. Since then: * Multiple missed appointments * A “repair” that left the gate crooked, won’t latch, and has protruding screws (safety issue) * No completion of proper repairs * No consistent communication I filed AAA claim #479994411, provided documentation, and obtained a professional estimate of $4,755.96 to restore the property. Contractors have indicated proper restoration likely requires replacement. At this point, the issue is simple: A service caused significant damage, and it has not been properly corrected. I’m requesting one thing: Restore the property to its pre-loss condition. If there is someone from Gratiot Auto Center or 696 & Gratiot Towing who can take ownership of this and move it to resolution, I’m ready to work with you. Follow Up: Thank you for the clarification—I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I understand your position regarding being a separate business. The reason for my post was based on the shared location and the connection presented at the time of service, which created confusion on my end. That said, the underlying issue remains unresolved. The damage occurred during a tow arranged through AAA and carried out by 696 & Gratiot Towing, and I am still working to have the property restored to its pre-loss condition. Just a quick edit: the more of us that file with the BBB and the Michigan Attorney general the more likely they will be shut down. this business does not deserve to be running, they prey on those who do not understand cars, and attempt to scam the ones that do. Your one star review will not stop this company from operation, but contacting the attorney general will. it takes 5-10 minutes to fill out a report. Please for the betterment of our community we need these types of places shut down completely. I brought my 1995 Ford F-150 in for a no-start issue and was charged $520.48, including $480 in labor for electrical diagnostics involving the ECM ignition circuit, and $38 for the Ignition condenser, along with claims of ECM testing and wiring repair. This cost covered removing and bench testing both the PCM and ECM After receiving the vehicle, I inspected it and did not observe any visible signs of the work described. The wiring harnesses of the PCM and ECM are factory original with no clear evidence of repair, and the ECM/PCM area showed no obvious signs of removal or disturbance. The root issue with the vehicle was later identified as a failed ignition condenser, which does not appear consistent with the extent of diagnostic and repair work listed on the invoice. I attempted to address these concerns directly with the shop, but we were unable to reach a resolution. I recommend that if you are experiencing automotive issues to avoid this shop. Here is a photo to show that the dust and grime is still caked on the ECM wiring harness proving it has never been touched. I rubbed my finger on the face of the plug to show that there should be visible signs that this has been touched and removed. Also to add, do not trust when they say diagnostics are free. At first, before confronting the shop, I asked if they removed and tested the PCM/ECM. They stated they did and even had it shipped to somewhere that could. After confronting the shop about the ECM/PCM not being touched, they stated that the $480 charge covered electrical diagnostic and that they weren’t removed, all in the same conversation. I told them diagnostic is supposed to be free and they refused to make up the difference. In the end, they charged me $520 to replace a $40 ignition condenser. I would not recommend this shop to anyone, I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General to attempt to resolve these unethical business practices and disputed the charge with my bank

I had a fantastic experience at Belle Tire! I came in with a non-repairable tire and needed a replacement ASAP. They luckily had the tire in stock and got me in and out the door so quickly. The team was extremely courteous and well experienced and prioritized my needs to get me back on the road safely. Highly recommend for fast, reliable service!
