Really appreciated this shop, their kind compassionate and dedicated service made a bad situation go good in a matter of days. Grant and Aaron communicate very well, kept me posted and returned me a subaru with 235k miles that drives brand new. I feel safe again and the price i paid was fair, work warrantied

Called about an extensive repair my local shop wouldn't touch. They got me in first thing the next morning and completed the repair as quickly as they promised. Manager and service advisor were friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. They also offered a shuttle service to help me get to work. Great experience from start to finish.

I stumbled upon Great Lakes in the Fall of 2025 after stopping in for an oil change at the “wrong location “. It’s been the best mistake I’ve made. I’m cautious when it comes to auto services , but as a female I feel good about Great Lakes (recommended) services. I’ve come to trust the tech, Adam, and service writer, Jordan, with both of my vehicles. I don’t feel taken advantage of - they literally show you any concern, in real time. Cost appear reasonable and service is prompt and on time as scheduled.

***THEY ARE BUSY BECAUSE THEY ARE GOOD*** I have owned my vehicle for 12 years. A couple weeks ago my engine died on my way home. After a 4 hour ordeal stranded on a Sunday afternoon, you can imagine I was mighty frustrated. The car was towed to Great Lakes Auto Repair that Monday morning. I was greeted in their newly remodeled beautiful office by a very customer oriented young man named Mike. He professionally gathered my information and promised to inform me ASAP on the diagnostic results. Well, having experienced some friends who have waited a week or more just to be told what work is needed from other repair shops, I was not expecting a speedy response. However, before the end of the day, Mike contacted me and informed me where they were at with the diagnostics and that additional review would be needed. He was very thorough in his explanation of what they knew at that point and what they would need to look at the next day. Once they had the complete picture, They were also able to commit to a 1.5 week or less turn around on my extensive repair? I called around and the price was on par or better than the dealers and other independent shops. It took me 3 days to decide if I would make this investment in my 12 year old baby. There was never any pressure. Only calm understanding and willingness to answer any question. They wanted me to do what was best for me. Although the price was more than I could invest in a 12 year old vehicle, if that had been an option, I was confident this team would do a fantastic job! When I got there I was shocked at how many vehicles were being serviced and waiting to be serviced. But as people came and went, I could tell, THEY ARE BUSY BECAUSE THEY ARE GOOD. However, I decided to donate the car and move on. Dealing with this team was so easy. So comforting. I have already told several family and friends about them. I gladly paid by diagnostics expense for a superior job and hassle free experience. Keeping their card for others!

Our A/C wasn’t blowing cold and I thought we just needed a recharge but the discovered a leak in the radiator as the root cause of the problem. They got the work done in the same day and provided excellent service, even driving me to and from their shop. Now the A/C is blowing cold just in time for the heat wave!
