LaFontaine Chevrolet Plymouth Service

I brought my convertible Camaro SS/RS in for service at LaFontaine Chevrolet dealer in Plymouth, formerly Lou LaRiche dealer. The problem was fixed by replacing two rear tires on the car. I give this poor rating for the dealer because they replaced the two rear tires with a completely different brand of tire than what was originally on the car, and now I have two different brands on a performance vehicle. When I called the dealer to discuss the matter with Olivia Messina, she assured me the dealer would never replace tires with a different brand and was going to get back to me after checking with the technician. Olivia never returned a call back to me after we spoke. I called back 4-5 times trying to reach Olivia, without succes. I called and requested to speak to the Service Manager, the customer service person sent a message with my concerns to the Service Manager but I never received a call back from anyone to date. I have actual photographs of my car proving what type of tires it had when I took it in for service. Furthermore, the car was returned to me with missing one of the SS caps on the tire stems, and greasy handprints all over the car where a technician probably had touched the car during service. I have never had such poor service from any dealer in my many years of owning performance vehicles. This car is only driven in the summer, and stored inside during the remainder of the year. I am a car guy and this experience has left me with no choice but to find another dealer to service my Camaro.

I only chose 1 star because I wasn't given an option to leave a NEGATIVE 5. Throughout my experiences of auto service departments, this place, hands down, has given the worse customer service. I brought my Corvette stingray in for a rattle. Olivia was my service rep. They kept my vehicle for over a week, only to have done nothing to correct the problem due to the fact that they were unable to duplicate the issue, which was understood. But that's not my main issue. The thing that really bothered me was the lack of communication. My service rep (Olivia) returned my call on the 2nd day, to inform me of what could possiby be the issue. About 2-3 days pass before I call back for a status check. When I'd call, Olivia was never available. I was told by other service reps that my car was ready for pick-up, but I had to wait for Olivia to complete the paperwork. I left multiple messages inquiring about a possible pick-up time, but still NO RESPONSE. I figured that maybe, Olivia was too busy to call her customers back, so on day 7, I decided to just go to the dealership to pick up my car. When I walked in, I saw Olivia (who didn't seem too busy at the time). She informed me that she wasn't sure if my car was ready, and she PROMISED to call me the next day. To make a long story short, I never received that call. I ended up calling and speaking to another service tech, who had to ask Olivia if my car was ready. Of course it was ready! So why didn't I receive a phone call, from Olivia, to let me know that? When I arrived, to no surprise, Olivia was not available. Another service rep, by the name of Mike, had to help me. Mike was very attentive, and helpful. Unfortunately, there's always a few "bad apples" in the bunch. Needless to say, I don't ever plan on bringing my cars back to this service department. There are too many other options / dealerships that would offer a much better experience.

I went to the service department and dealt with Daniel the manager, another guy named John and another guy that gave me rides to and from work, all of them were super nice and even though we had some issues with trying to sign up for the GM rewards credit card, the manager was able to figure it out and all worked out just fine. I hope to be able to continue with the relationship and get many more good experiences.

Disappointed to say the least. Had my car for 2 weeks, they kept trying to figure out my warranty with my original dealer for some reason when it was just the certified pre owned. They found the issue and told me it wasn’t covered, which I still believe it should have been to begin with, they start that repair and found another issue which was an oil leak from the cam. That was covered obviously, but my issue is this oil leak is what caused the problem I had to pay to have fixed, shouldnt the warranty cover that subsequent repair when the oil leak is what caused the coil pack to foul out? On top of that when the repair was finally finished I picked up my car only to get 5 miles down the road it and tells me its low on oil, how do you fix an oil leak and return the car to me without topping it off? Unprofessional as can be. If that’s not bad enough after returning to get oil put in I got a car while at the hospital an hour later while visiting my mother in law that the service ladies scanner was left in the car so I had to return a 3rd time that day. So $1500 on a repair that imo should have been covered but after two weeks I needed my car back and just a giant hassle

everything was excellent! from the scheduling and availability of service times, to the time spent at the dealership and the team that worked on my vehicle. I am beyond impressed with the process, from start to finish. I don't write reviews, but this was something I really wanted to share.
