Gary is the first person we have ever gone to and truly trusted that he cares about us and our vehicles! He is fair and works quickly. Gary will tell you if you need to fix something or if it can wait. He is kind and so incredibly helpful. My mom called in to ask him a question and he took the time to explain everything and she wasn't even a customer at the time. We have been to many places, and we will not take our vehicles anywhere else now. Great place, great guy! Thanks Gary!!! Let Livonia know that Darby's is the best place to go!

We have used Darby’s Auto Repair for years. The shop is on AnnArbor road in Livonia.. They are very transparent and priced fair. Gary totally explains to you what he is doing and will let you know if something isn’t necessary to fix. We had a tail light go out on the car and Ford wanted $500 for the original part. Gary gave us a choice to get an aftermarket part that fit just fine for way less money. if you want someone that you can trust with your car, who is fair and honest choose Darby Auto Repair.

My car died and I just so happened to pull into the parking lot next to Darby’s… I was so flustered by the event but they took the best care of my car! They were nice enough to get my dead car from the parking lot next store and into their shop, fixed it up at amazing speed, and at a reasonable price! As someone who doesn’t know anything about cars, I love the honesty and they never tried to pressure me into extra stuff I didn’t need. Thank you!!

I'm a car guy, and I've worked on cars since i was a little kid. 99% of the time, if something goes wrong, I will just fix it myself. However, if for whatever reason I can't fix it myself or don;t have the time to, this is the ONLY shop I will bring my car to. Nowadays it seems like every mechanic shop is out to scam you. I've gone to about 10 other shops in the past 20 years for repairs, and every single one of them besides Darby's has tried to scam me at least once, by claiming my car needed repairs it doesn't need. This is the only shop I trust to fix my car, and not try to make any extra money off me. I see some complaints about them being "rude", but in my opinion people are mistaking honesty for rudeness. I mean, someone is really complaining because he told them up front he won't have time to look at their car for a whole week? Would the person rather he lie, and then just keep their car for the week anyway? Also, someone in these reviews complained because he said he wasn't sure if he would be able to fix a problem. Is that bad? Would you rather he lie and take your money, but fix nothing?
