My family was recommended Alex and Dave's seven years ago by a family friend and we've used them since. My dad and brother took their cars for different issues in years past, and I've had my Buick Regal taken there twice for rotor and break pads replacement and a new blower motor. A few years ago, my car was making scuffing sounds on the rear tire and when I took it in, they advised after a few days they just had to re-bend some flap or something and didn't charge for it. If it's a truly minor issue and something small like that, they'll either just fix it or the cost is minimal. They are trustworthy and will run costs by you before doing a bunch of work and then charging afterwards. I've never had an issue worrying I'd be overcharged or have a bunch of things done I didn't ask for or authorize. They are a small shop, so if you drop off your car, they will probably have it for a good 4-5 days or a few more depending. Their after-hours drop off form and door slot is really small, so if you drop off then, I'd recommend typing or writing everything out beforehand to put in the small envelope. Overall, they'll talk with you to explain any issues and see what you want to do before getting things done. I'd recommend them if you don't already have a go-to place!

I have had work done several times at Alex and Dave's. I'm my recent visit the shop provided me with a free diagnostic and gave an honest and reasonable price quote before doing any work on my vehicle. I would recommend this shop to anyone that is looking to avoid being "taken to the cleaners" by any large chain repair shop.

They handled all my concerns and fixed the things i needed done and also recommended some things I wasn’t aware of. these guys are great to deal with. I took it in on a Monday. The repair was completed in a timely manner, and the quality of work was excellent. My car now feels much safer and smoother to drive. The pricing was fair and transparent, with no hidden fees or surprises. The overall cost was about a third of what my dealership quoted me. I highly recommend this auto shop to anybody in need of auto repairs. Their expertise and customer service are top-notch. I definitely will be returning for any future maintenance needs.
