The staff was incredibly friendly and made the entire appointment process quick and easy. As someone who knows absolutely nothing about cars and never enjoys having to bring my car in, I really appreciated how comfortable they made me feel. They explained everything clearly, answered my questions, and made the experience stress-free. I would definitely recommend them!

I would strongly advise anyone to avoid Conrad’s Tire Express and Total Car Care in Livonia. We brought our 2022 Kia Seltos to this shop because the dashboard suddenly lit up with multiple warning lights while driving, and the vehicle would randomly lose acceleration when pressing the gas pedal. This was a serious safety concern, especially on the highway. After performing a diagnostic, Conrad’s told us the battery was the cause of the problem. We trusted their diagnosis and paid over $600 for a battery replacement and an oil change because they assured us this would resolve the issue. It didn’t. The exact same problem continued. We returned to the shop multiple times looking for answers. One visit we were told the vehicle was perfectly fine and there were no diagnostic errors. On another visit, a different technician admitted the battery terminals had not been tightened properly during the battery installation and then suggested the alternator might be the problem. We received a different explanation almost every time we went back. Despite four visits, our vehicle remained unsafe to drive. Conrad’s repeatedly told us it was safe, even though it continued to lose power while driving. We finally took the vehicle to the Kia dealership. Their technicians diagnosed the actual problem and confirmed the issue was not what Conrad’s had claimed. The dealership identified the underlying faults that Conrad’s failed to diagnose despite multiple opportunities. To make matters worse, I called the store manager, Josh, several times and never received a return call. When I finally reached him, he was defensive throughout the conversation, insisted Conrad’s had done nothing wrong, refused to acknowledge our concerns, and would not offer any compensation or resolution. Rather than taking responsibility, he repeatedly defended the shop’s original diagnosis despite the dealership’s findings. This experience cost us hundreds of dollars, multiple trips back and forth, unnecessary stress, and left us driving a vehicle with a serious safety issue that Conrad’s repeatedly failed to diagnose correctly. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this location. If your vehicle has an intermittent or complex electrical problem, I strongly suggest taking it to a qualified dealership or another repair facility instead.
