I had a really good experience with American Transmission. I ended up needing a full transmission rebuild, and the whole process took about a week. They were helpful, patient, and willing to work with me through everything while the repairs were being done. I was pretty stressed going into it because I knew it wasn't going to be cheap, but they made sure I understood what actually needed to be done and didn't push anything unnecessary. That gave me a lot of peace of mind. For context, I had taken my vehicle on a 113 mile trip one way, about a 240 mile round trip total, which I probably shouldn't have done since I don't really drive on the highway. That's what led to the transmission issues. The work came out solid, and Donnie and Dave were especially great throughout the process. They kept me updated and made everything a lot easier than I expected. And affordable as they could with the work that need to be done!! I really appreciate everything they did for me. Hopefully I won't have to come back for my truck, but if I do, I would go back. I would also recommend them to anyone needing honest, reliable transmission work. So thank you guys

I’m probably the most expensive transmission they had replaced. I recently had taken my Evo x to them and they did an amazing job. They we able to work with my warranty Superior Protection plan, now I was having major issues regarding finding a shop I could trust that does warranty work but now I will be taking all my vehicles for transmission work here. They are very particular with what fluids are being put in for oem specifications. Also when they are putting a new transmission it is a new one no short cuts here at this place l. Amy is also very informative on where they are in the process and always will update you when it is something new. I trust them way more than the dealerships we have around here. So I have got my Blazer back now for about a week now. I had a transmission rebuilt and control arms fixed. I did some research before I even started fixing it. American Transmission kept coming up. I have heard from a few people about this shop and good experiences they have had. So I decided to take it here. I am glad I did. Not only where they very helpful and offering to come pick my vehicle up but they made sure I understood everything that needed to be fixed. They make sure I was kept up to date on the progress of my car and how long it would take. They took car of me. You know you always think transmissions shops are out to get you. This one will not. The prices were very reasonable, there is even a coupon online. The new management was professional and made sure I knew what I was getting into. The mechanics was awesome. Not only did they go that extra mile and fixed my exhaust leaked. He made sure that my car was back to 100% before giving it back to me. They showed me the old parts and how bad they were. They even told me what to look out for in the future. I have already told a few people about how good this place is. Definitely going back here if I need anything else done. A+ in my book.

From start to finish my experience with American transmission in garden city was excellent. I have been to a few shops in my time to have work done on my cars and hands down this is the best one yet. They are clean and very organized and have walked me through the details on the work they did. (In terms I can understand) lol I highly recommend them for any transmission needs.
