Uncle Ed's Oil Shoppe

Normally, I enjoy going here. What should have been 10 minutes of an oil chance took an hour. There was another car that was there when we were, but had requested more and therefore, received the most attention resulting in us having to wait for our oil to get changed. While we waited, I was pressured into getting things my car did not need. I kept getting told to come back and get things fixed there. I have a mechanic I go to for serious work. I go there because I enjoyed their service for OIL. Only oil. The fact he tells me everything I need to do to my car. He even mention my battery had 100% health life but 1% something else and I need to get a new one. Y'all, I got that brand new battery last year and my car is working great. No issues. I forgot his name but he was bald with a small facial beard. The man needed to back off trying to sell me a whole new car basically, telling me to come back, making me wait forever, and all for what? Poor customer service? I am not going back there needless to say.

Very honest crew that operates with great integrity! My grandmother went in to change her oil per the due date on her sticker, despite the fact that I told her it looked barely used when I checked it. I recommended that she wait a bit longer before getting it serviced. Surprisingly enough, she was given the same advice from the crew at this shop. These guys made our visit very pleasant and just incredible all around. Would highly recommend this Uncle Ed’s!

I really wish I could give a 6-star review. Jay and Trey were absolutely amazing. Was sent here after another shop turned me away because they said they didn’t have a part to complete my oil change. Not only did Jay and Trey complete the oil change, they took care of some other things the vehicle needed as well. I couldn’t have asked for better service or better care. It’s almost 7:30pm and they’re making sure that I’m good to go. You guys are absolutely amazing and have no idea how much I really appreciate you guys.

This place has the most amazing staff! A-1 service all around. Super friendly, professional and detailed work. They will go above and beyond to get your car to where it needs to be within their mechanical abilities. This is my shop for sure! 🤝

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent experience at Uncle Ed’s Oil Shoppe on Groesbeck Highway. I came in after discovering my tire was flat that morning. I had driven it just around the block to get air at a gas station, then went straight to Uncle Ed’s. They quickly checked it and let me know that my rim was actually broken and advised me to park the car and replace the rim instead of risking further damage. After leaving for a short time, I came back because I needed help getting my spare tire on. The problem was that my subwoofer setup in the trunk was blocking access, making it a real hassle. The manager—I believe his name was Jay or Josh—and his assistant took the time to help me remove the subs and get the spare tire installed. It took a while, but the entire time they were calm, professional, helpful, and easy to work with. They went above and beyond what I expected, and I really appreciated the honesty and effort from the whole team. Top-tier service from this crew. I highly recommend Uncle Ed’s on Groesbeck!
