Amazing service and always fast with repairs. Eddy is extremely knowledgeable and great at explaining what’s going on with my vehicle. He walked me through the issue, its severity, and a rough estimate of when the repair would be complete. Taylor is fabulous at calling with updates on repairs and always gives accurate pricing for parts and repairs. Overall, the best place to get your car serviced in Detroit is for consistency, price, and customer service. 10/10

Do not go to Campus Auto Repair in Midtown Detroit. My son took his Chevy Spark there to have the transmission checked. We had taken it to Autozone first and the codes read were for the transmission, possible fluid change needed . I asked about the transmission, and if they could change the fluid and we would see if that worked. Campus Auto repair called me and said that one of the chambers in the catalytic converter was clogged and we needed a new one. $1300. He said that there might be something wrong with the transmission but it’s not worth doing anything with it until I get the converter fixed. I told him no thank you, I am not putting that kind of money into this older vehicle (2014 with over 200k miles). My son picked up the car and we paid the $100 estimate fee. One week later the car died. I called a cash for cars business to pick it up. The driver looks under the vehicle and tells me that there is no catalytic converter (odd since I was just told it was there and clogged); instead there is a flex pipe poorly welded. I get under the car and look for myself. Sure enough - no converter. We never put a straight pipe on the car so the only logical explanation is that campus Auto repair cut my converter and tried to sell me an after part when that wasn’t even the problem and I clearly asked them to change transmission fluid. When I said no to the $1300 converter, they put a flex pipe on; and welded it poorly mind you. So not only did they not do what i asked and acted like they were saving me a wasted cost of a fluid change; they liie about a clogged converter, stole it AND I PAID $100 for an estimate!!!! Do not go to this mechanic; they will steal and lie to you.

I had a great experience with Campus Auto Repair. They did a good diagnosis, and you worked on my cooling system professionally. The service was honest, fast, and very helpful. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing auto repair

Terrible, dishonest work done here has cost me thousands. Came in for an engine misfire on a Ram 1500 and claimed they fixed the issue. Two months later had to return for the same issue. Then, the same issue returned two weeks later (3rd time). Took my truck somewhere else and come to find out wiring and connections were done wrong. If you don’t know what you’re doing, just be honest! DO NOT BRING YOUR RAM HERE.

I’m 40, I’m not a Karen lol 😂 this is literally the first bad review I’ve written in my life. I have never felt so disrespected as a woman in a business in my entire life. The manager is rude, disrespectful, and I’m positive I would not have been treated like this if I was a man. He’s condensing and disrespectful to women. Would give zero stars if I could. As a business woman and business owner in Detroit for the past 5 years I expected better customer service out of a local neighborhood fellow business…. But I guess I thought 💭 wrong. Don’t go, especially if you are women, you will be treated less than. So that part. Do better. It’s 2026, turns out women can own businesses and drive cars here in Detroit and don’t deserve to be treated like second rate citizens and “less than”.
