AFTER ALL AUTO CLINIC

Well here I go. It's me again. You probably know what this means. I drive a moon buggy, a used HHR since 2014. My car eventually developed a fault in the repair pipe. My usual repair shop of choice was not available for the day; appointment booked up pretty quickly. I took it to this "After All" auto repair clinic on Saturday, the 2nd on May, 2026 to mend it. That is all I requested. I did not request anything else than to weld the pipe back together. There are are various methods including using a metal cuff. The repair personnel did not even discuss any of them. Should be expensive. It wasn't. $125 plus taxes. That should have been suspicious to me. Except for another detail, one of deceit and dishonesty. The average price to weld a broken exhaust pipe back together in various cities in in The Unites States is $125 - $150. This is not for a replacement. So, based on what has been mentioned so far, many readers of this review can probably guess from a mile away what the issue is. I did some reading and unfortunately there are those who prey on the ignorance and naiveté of their consumers. They were after the Catalytic convertor - all that palladium, rubidium and the platinum. And for what? They wanted all of that for themselves so they did not even bother to explain what is required for the repair. Sure a catalytic convertor does not dampen sound, it converts bad air to reduce emission. But they are so expensive that, if sold under the right circumstance, would net the owner a huge sum of money. The owner, right? But no, they connived to 'straight pipe' the exhaust pipe, left the resonator and the muffler (which, I admit is not in a good condition) and took and took the catalytic convertor with them. Also, I will say you you, if you live in Michigan, you are entitle to all parts removed from your vehicle unless it is too heavy (and even then, you are entitled to inspect the part for yourself). That is a Michigan law. The owner has that law blatantly displayed on their walls. But I was not even shown the part they removed from my vehicle. It was the only time I took my vehicle to that shop. 1) In fairness I should have known what to tell the repair personnel in the first place - do not remove my catalytic convertor. Cost to 'cuff-weld' an exhaust pipe is not that expensive but replacing it can be well over $1000. I did not have a replacement. Between the short pipe piece and labor, you're seeing my position her, right? 2) The repair was also done, albeit with a mere straight pipe and no notification as to the kind of work that needs to be done. The shop takes multiple ways and forms of payment, a restroom for the customer and a television for what it was worth. However, a person visits a car repair shop to get repair work done on said person's car. So, automobile owners, who happen to have exhaust pipe issues, be stern about your choice of words - or never take your vehicle here. If you need a car repair, pony up for a proper auto insurance coverage and a proper repair shop. If you have been slighted, you probably won't be the last. At least, now, dear customers, 'لقد تم تحذيركم' - You have been warned.

George is the best he loved my energy. Most people can’t take me sometimes and he happen to be very welcoming. Gave me a really good price and solved my issue the same day I would recommend anyone to come here for the car Services. He’s a very honest man, and that is important in the business of mechanics today.

I’ve been here multiple times for different issues with my vehicle. Every time my problem is resolved and my car is running better than ever. George the owner I believe is friendly and honest which is hard to find in the mechanic world. I highly recommend him and his shop. You won’t be disappointed!

I've been going to after for a couple of years and have not one complaint. George is always fair and honest. His respect for the customer and their cars is unmatched. And I challenge anyone to find better prices. You won't! This my come off as a fake coxed review but I promise you it's not. Just a hard working man with many cars and have had everything from minor repair to engines replaced by after all and have never seen this sort of quality speed and service.
