I loooove this auto shop! Rick is amazing!!!! They provide great service and affordable prices. They treat me like family. I trust them with all my vehicles and I would recommend anyone that needs their car repaired to bring it here.

I had a super positive experience. We needed our brakes done and were in and out the same day. Price was competitive and Rick went over and above to help us out. I highly reccomend.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Pay Less Auto Service! Brought my car in for a front end noise on my truck. I was greeted immediately by the manager Rick! Just talking with him, I could tell that it would be good experience. They pulled my truck in and when they found the issue, the showed me what the problem was, sway bar links!! I thought that was cool that they wanted me to see the problem. Not just taking their word. Rick hooked me up with a great price and had me in and out in no time at all!! I know where I’m going the next time I need some work done to my vehicles!! Thanks again!!

My car needed a transmission, and the price Payless quoted was very reasonable. I agreed to the work, and to installation of a used transmission. The new transmission began leaking within a couple of days. I was not overly confident in the work Payless did, so I took the car to a different shop for recommendation. That shop recommended that I return it to Payless to fix. I was told that to do it correctly, Payless should remove the newly-installed trans and check all of the seals. The shop also told me that if Payless said they could fix it in an hour, that was a bunch of hogwash. I returned to Payless, and was told it would take an hour. I should have noted that big red flag, but I was convinced by the owner that's all it would take. Six months later, the transmission is not working. I could go on, but the short story is that I would not recommend this shop.

*BEWARE: proceed carefully and document everything. In my experience, I felt misled and would not trust this business again. Their motto seems to be do it as cheap as possible even if sacrificing quality and safety. Ask for receipts upon payment/repair. Make them show you the old part they "replaced" and take pictures to verify it belonged to your car. Been coming to this shop for about 2 years and we have referred many people. This shop has received a lot of business from us. I brought my Jeep in for a check engine light and had to return FIVE times for the same issue. Each time I was told it was "fixed", only for the check engine light to come back on within days. It felt like codes were being cleared temporarily because the problem kept returning. I was repeatedly told by Kouder AKA Kevin/the owner, it was a “different issue,” even though the problem was never actually fixed. I advise anyone going to this shop to get a check engine light scan at Auto Zone for free before taking it to them. So you know what codes its throwing prior. After $1200 my vehicle still has a check engine light. During those visits the shop physically damaged my original OEM key fob. It no longer worked properly. Instead of replacing it with an OEM fob like I had, I was given a cheap aftermarket replacement and it stopped working within 2 months. When I told Kouder the replacement failed and requested an OEM fob, he told me to take money off my remaining balance to pay for it. At the time, I did not have $400 which is why I was on a payment plan. I did not feel it was my responsibility to suddenly come out the money and deal with the hassle of the dealership for their mistake. He then said his locksmith had an OEM fob for me and again the locksmith provided an aftermarket fob instead of the OEM fob Kouder promised. I also spoke with the locksmith, he tried to claim that OEM fobs commonly have motherboard issues and sent a link to support that. Tried to convince me that it wouldn't matter if I had an OEM fob or not that they all have issues. Hence they will try to manipulate you. Kouder tried to minimize the mishandling of my OEM fob by saying it was old and worn. Of course the car is a 2009! They also try to make things sound good by throwing in "it has a warranty". Kouder also stated he had “already paid to replace the key fob twice,” which was his own fault. He fails to realize it cost him more to do it cheap instead of just making it right the first time. He acted like I was troubling him when he continued to inconvenience me. After I said I would now be deducting the cost of the OEM fob from my balance he demanded I return both replacement fobs when they were already programmed and the emergency keys had already been cut to fit my car. He also demanded my balance. They do offer loaner cars, payment plans and low prices. However, you get what you pay for. Low prices often come at a cost later. Kouder uses those perks against you as leverage when you question quality of work performed. Many people we referred had similar experiences with repeat returns for unresolved issues. I have also witnessed careless handling of keys. At one point, I arrived to pick up my vehicle and was told my key was with Kouder in Lansing, making it impossible for me to get my car at that time. I stayed patient and gave many chances to correct the wrongs. Once I held the shop accountable and refused to accept excuses or low quality fixes, I was told he would no longer work on my vehicle. All I was asking was to be made whole with what I had originally. This could have been avoided had he been a man of his word. I have pictures,receipts and text messages documenting everything. Kouder was an engineer at GM (baffling considering his lack of professionalism) while maintaining his shop, but has since left GM and opened a second shop called “M&N Repair,” which you may want to beware of. I cannot believe this is how he treats loyal customers. Due to all of this I can no longer recommend this shop.
