I took my X5 there a little over a year ago for an engine issue and had to unfortunately do an engine swap. I was able to find an engine and they did the job cost me 8k. I recently started experiencing issues with my car where it’s started leaking coolant and driving funny when accelerating. So I go to check under the hood and find a what seems to be a rubber seal or part of a vacuum hose wedged between my intake hose and another part of my engine. Holding the hose “securely” in, they broke the screw holes and thought this would be fine to do. I can literally move my intake in & out…I can’t believe someone will do a job like this after a customer trusts them with their vehicle & expects them to be honest. I guess there’s not many honest people in this world especially in the automotive industry. I wish I had found this a lot sooner.

Took my VW TDI here for a cooling fan issue. Was told upfront that diagnostics would be free. The next day, I got a $750 quote to replace just one fan — a part I can buy myself for ~$130, with the full assembly included. When I declined, they charged me a “diagnostic” fee anyway, even though I already told them the problem and they gave me no new findings. No written authorization, no transparency, and very unprofessional customer service (including being told to “never come back”). If you’re looking for honest auto repair in Newton/Boston area , I recommend going elsewhere. Clear pricing and good communication are important, and I did not experience either here.
