Would not give ANY estimate of price before agreeing to pay at least $100. Would not acknowledge that it's even possible to make any kind of estimate. Would not even acknowledge that a range existed. Absolutely insane levels of commitment to giving no information. This is for a wheel bearing replacement, nothing insane. Said "the conversation isn't gonna work" or something rather than say any number in the English language. Edit based on reply (which was stealth deleted, but included in my review as a photo): Timestamps seem accurate. Everything else is not particularly accurate. A witness to the conversation does not agree I raised my voice, nor do I. Esme claims she stated she could give pricing, that is a lie. She refused to. Esme claims I said "you should know" - what I actually communicated in context is "given that you work here, you certainly know better than I do, because I lack your experience and knowledge". Esme was not open to this concept, choosing to take the remark as an insult. Reader, note how even when I made clear my understanding that not all cars would have the same price, Esme *still* was unwilling to state *any* price this shop has *ever* charged for *any* car's wheel replacement. My original review was accurate: Esme was very clear that no price, price range, or estimate of any kind, not even for labor alone, not even confirming it would be between $5 and $5 million, would be provided without my agreeing to pay a minimum of $100. Esme continues, as she did in our conversation, to conflate an exact price and an estimate. This distinction is clear, but one she is unwilling to make. I also do not tolerate being spoken to in a dismissive manner (well, past a point), hence this review. Since Esme has decided to bring manners into it, I'll add that she stayed seated across the room from our window for the entire conversation, never moving or even interacting with her computer or desk to check for any information or lack thereof, only telling us to come back and pay a bare minimum of $100 for the privilege of knowing how much more money we can pay to have our car back in a condition better than it is now.
