Meineke Car Care Center

I recently took my vehicle to Meineke Car Care Centers to have two issues diagnosed: my driver-side window wouldn’t roll down, and there was a clicking noise coming from inside the dash. They charged me $192 for the diagnostic fee. The diagnosis on the window unfortunately wasn’t accurate — I was told the switch and regulator needed to be replaced, but it ended up being a broken wire that was easily repaired. That part was frustrating, especially considering the original quote for the repairs was $1,055. On the positive side, they did correctly diagnose the broken actuator motor inside the dash, which I appreciated, but also already knew what was broken as I had dealt with this in the past. I was also advised to purchase the parts myself to save money on the repair, but the parts they suggested would not have worked because they were the wrong ones that were broken. I wonder what they would have done after that didn’t work. To their credit, after I showed them proof that the window issue was just a broken wire and had been fixed, they did refund the $192 diagnostic fee. I appreciated them making that right. Overall, it was a mixed experience. They got one issue correct and ultimately refunded the diagnostic charge, but the misdiagnosis and parts confusion made the process more frustrating than it needed to be. I was able to take my vehicle to a family friend, who is only charging 100$ total for parts + labor to fix both issues. I highly recommend you don’t use this Meineke as you will most certainly be getting over charged, possibly misdiagnosed as well. And if you don’t have someone you know who can do the work for you, you’re screwed. The only positive note I can say is that they were willing to refund the diagnostic fee as they had completely provided no service with that. So that’s honorable. My theory as to what they were trying to do, was purposely misdiagnose my vehicle, get me to pay for all that extra stuff that wasn’t even broken, then just fix the wire and pocket all that extra money. You guys are supposed to be professionals, that sounds like your professional con men. I will ensure that me and everybody I am associated with will never use your services again.

They got me in right away. Actually showed me the problems. Went over detailed information. Bryan is a great mechanic. Actually the whole team is. My father and I have been going to them for years and will definitely continue to do so.

Took the car in to have brake pads changed and rather than take advantage, they advsed they had another 10K miles before they needed changed. They could've easily ripped me off but they did not. I sincerely appreciate the honesty and will definitely return when I need service next.

Professional, friendly and quick to get in. They do quality work for a good fair price. I’ve been using them for years. I’ve never had any problems. They get my vehicles in fast. They take care of the problem and maintenance and get me back on the road. They deserve a five star rating.
