LONG BUT DETAILED READ Back in December my husband and brought my Buick in due to overheating. It was during the holidays so communication was spaced and we understood. Ultimately they told us our head gasket was blown.. we gave them permission to replace every hose or anything they suggested. We did not want to cheap out so this could be done and solved with. My husband and I spent just under $5,000 for all the work. We got my car back after the new year and everything was great. We even took it back once we received our tax returns to do some repairs that they suggested to us on Christmas Eve and couldn’t afford at that moment. Late April we took my vehicle in for an oil change back at L&M.. few days later my car began to overheat again. We remembered the warranty we had with L&M and instantly took my vehicle in when they could get us in. They suggested a new thermostat and that they would be doing a flush and fill on my cooling system. We understood the thermostat would be paid out of pocket as that was not something that L&M replaced during the head gasket. We paid the little over $1,000 for this and picked it up on Friday 5/8/2026. Drove the two minutes home and my car sat all weekend at the house. Monday 5/11/2026 my husband started my car and noticed it did not sound right, he popped the hood and immediately noticed beams were not put back together properly and my coolant was empty. My husband called and instantly took my car back to the shop. Tuesday 5/12/2026 we were notified that my car was ready and went to pick it up. My husband pulled it out of the parking lot with a cloud of white sweet smelling smoke behind him. We of course went straight back inside and told them that they did not fix the issue after all the money we had spent. We were told by the front desk lady that the tech who had been working on our vehicle was not in and would be in on Wednesday and would call us. Two days past of my husband calling on his work break and them telling us the tech hasn’t returned to work yet. Finally on Friday 5/15/2026 the tech was back and told my husband he would be running the tests and figuring out what was going on. A gas combustion test was ran and they said my vehicle passed. Ultimately they tried to charge us $5,000 for a singular tear down for “further testing” that did not include any repairs or part replacements. We did not agree with this and went and picked up my Buick. We found another shop that was able to get us in and instantly told us that our head gasket was blown. Affinity automotive advised us that since this was a reoccurring problem that an engine replacement would more than likely be needed. I feel like at the end of the day L&M knew our head gasket was blown again and did not want to own up to their warranty and lose money, that’s why they tried to charge such a ridiculous amount for a “test”. Maybe we we’re just the ones to get poor service this time around, but hopefully this reaches the right reader looking for an automotive shop and you’re able to make the better decision.

Had a great experience with L and M. Their diagnostic system is what really won me over. I went in with one issue and they highlighted more issues and rated the issues on whether or not it needed to be changed now or if the issue could be resolved some time down the road. Ultimately I had to do an engine swap that was completed in four days. I got a new crate motor with a 3/year 100,000 mile warranty, so I’ve got peace of mind with that. I would recommend these guys to anyone for any issue big or small.

The team at L&M gave me a thorough report on all repairs needed for my 2003 pickup. They also helped me to prioritize what needed to be done first so I could work within my budget. The work they have some so far has it good working order again. Their communication was clear and I understood what all the charges would be along the way. No work was done without my permission. I will definitely use them again.

10/10 great people, service and anything else you can think of. Currently out of the country, and my fiance was without a working vehicle. They worked with me and they got it nice and fixed up. 100% will be going back for any maintenance on my vehicles when I get back!

L&M has always been a great location. I've been bringing various vehicles to them for several years. Their diagnostics are quick, and whether routine maintenance or repairs, they have always been top notch. They also provide a shuttle service for their customers who don't have alternative transportation. They perform overall diagnostic services that may help identify unexpected problems. Very reliable service.
