While the events below did play out from my perspective, things were made right after, as explained. Had a check engine light on and read the code myself to know what I was getting into. Found the error code related to a part that may or may not be going out so I called one day to ask if there was time to take a look at the issue. I requested they replace the part attributed to the error code and I was told "We will just have to diagnose it ourselves when you come in". Fair enough, I understand not wanting someone to "tell you how to do your job" even though as the customer I was asking for the more profitable repair be done. Long story short, after getting the estimate that the part just needs cleaning and going through with that process. The car doesn't make it two days without the same engine light coming on. The overall repair needed? Gotta replace the part. After this review was posted, I was contacted to explain things that should have been explained at the time of repair. While the part did need to be replaced, the system did need to be cleaned out regardless. I would have been happier with both being done in the same visit. They did the right thing in slightly the wrong way. Taking a bit of time to explain things, goes a long ways towards customer satisfaction. I was ready to never come back, but after having a brief and honest conversation, it has done a lot to restore my appreciation for what they do.

I have been using Expert Auto for as many years as they have been at the 37th and Woodlawn location. For the past year or so, I've had several issues with getting my vehicles serviced there. Most recently, I had to take my car back in this morning to have fasteners put in where the bottom engine shield attaches. After having my oil changed on Friday, we noticed a loud flapping noise at highway speeds over the weekend. Service techs had either failed to replace or replace correctly the button fasteners that attach the plastic shield to the bottom of the car. So I took it back in this Monday morning. When I was told it was finished, I went out to the car and checked the right front wheel well to see if fasteners had been correctly placed to attach the oil filter access panel. There were only two of four fasteners holding it in place and the panel was loose. I went back in and told the manager and asked him to have the panel correctly installed with fasteners in each hole and to have the service techs check to make sure fasteners had been correctly replaced in the bottom engine shield. While the car was up on the rack, I watched as techs added fasteners to the bottom shield which tells me that they hadn't done it correctly the first OR the second time. This was the 3rd time (4th if you count both times this morning) in the last year that I've had to bring my car or truck back to have things corrected after servicing it at the Woodlawn location. My daughter had already decided to stop using the Woodlawn location last year after an oil change in her car where oil began profusely leaking from an improperly installed oil filter. When I shared with the location manager that I would not be returning there for any service because of the repeated issues, his remark was "That's unfortunate." No, "I'm sorry and we'll try to do better, how can we make it right?" Just, "That's unfortunate." Yes, it is unfortunate.

Very Shady Company - avoid if you can. Wife took my car here for a headlight replacement - they said they might have to remove the bumper - no problem. They changed the light got the car home and noticed the bumper was not attached properly - took it back to the shop (after Thanksgiving break) and they denied ever touching the bumper. They obviously began too because all the clips had been removed from the back of the bumper. Told them I checked my home security cameras and you can see the car leaving to the shop is totally fine - returning home the damage is clearly visible. Said we must have hit something on the way home! We live so close the mileage would still be within a mile of when they began the work. Just to top it off the guy said "We even pulled the car around for your wife so it was never even parked" a weird lie because it was parked when picked it up. Just a very shady shop.

got me in same day, same hour to get a big screw in my tire fixed. knocked it out. best part, didnt even charge me. Amanda was very helpful and got me squared away

This place is great. I've been here twice in two weeks with different vehicles and different issues and they helped me out. Excellent service, nice people, very clean and new looking shop. Highly recommended.
