I’m a first time Subaru owner and had to bring the car in to address and air pressure issue. The intake process was very simple. Chris (the service associate) was super helpful and provided updates on the process and status of my car. For what I needed, I didn’t have to wait long. The service overall was excellent!

Before posting this review, I wanted to give the dealership an opportunity to address my concerns directly. After picking up my vehicle, I followed up regarding unresolved concerns and later called requesting to speak with management. I was informed that a manager would return my call, but I never received a follow-up. Ironically, I then received an automated post-service text request inviting me to leave a Google review. Since I had already made an effort to address my concerns directly first, I decided to share my experience and constructive feedback here. I wanted to provide constructive feedback regarding my recent service experience as a first-time customer at this specific dealership, especially because I’ve had positive experiences with another Subaru dealership for the past 5+ years. The issue ultimately became less about the vehicle itself and more about the communication and overall customer experience. I arrived on time for my 11:00 AM appointment and pulled into the service garage, but sat waiting while several people walked by before someone eventually asked if I had been helped. Shortly after, when the vehicle was being moved for a routine oil change, I was told the car was “glitching” and there may be a battery issue. This immediately felt unexpected, as I had not experienced any battery concerns before arriving. At that point, I immediately explained two important things: that I had a 1:00 PM work meeting and that we were leaving the following morning out of town and would not be back until Friday. The loaner was offered after that conversation, so my understanding was that Friday had already been clearly communicated and agreed upon. Later that same day, beginning about an hour before closing, I started receiving multiple calls regarding returning the loaner vehicle, despite having already explained that we would be out of town and unable to return until Friday. The calls then continued again the following morning. I was later told the loaner had only been a "one-day rental", which was confusing because Friday had already been discussed upfront. I later reviewed the written loaner agreement myself and found that it reflected three days, consistent with what had initially been discussed. What was most frustrating was not simply the confusion itself, but the lack of acknowledgment or ownership afterward. Even after I repeatedly clarified that Friday had already been discussed upfront, I continued receiving conflicting communication. At one point I was told the loaner would only be extended until the following day, despite having already explained multiple times that returning before Friday was not possible. I later received a message extending it through Friday, but there was still no acknowledgment of the misunderstanding regarding the agreement itself, the repeated calls, or the confusion surrounding the timeline. Similarly, I noticed the loaner had one tire significantly lower in PSI than the others, with more than a 10 PSI difference, and it was immediately visible on the dashboard display as soon as I entered the vehicle. This was not something I had to search for. Given the time-sensitive situation, I ended up leaving the dealership less than five minutes before my 1:00 PM work meeting, and because of this issue I had to delay and adjust my meeting plans. What was also frustrating was the lack of acknowledgment regarding that oversight. Additionally, being told that the loaner could not be extended beyond Friday felt unnecessary given that I had never requested additional time. If unexpected travel issues had occurred, a more customer-focused response acknowledging that situations can change would have felt very different. I completely understand that unexpected vehicle issues and scheduling challenges happen. My frustration was not with the battery situation itself. It was with the communication, repeated confusion, lack of ownership, and overall handling of the experience. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing first experience for us.

I was there for my 30k checkup and service.Vinney was Johnny on the spot evev though I was there earlier than scheduled. I drive from Monee. IL. I WAS KEPT UPDATED Then I was out of there in 2 hours. Excellant service. Everyone was very friendly and professional. That makes a difference with me. All of your service people that I've interacted with are good at their jobs. And I got a free wash. I felt spoiled.

Dominick is always very helpful. Whenever I have an issue with my car I call Dominick and know I am in good hands. I was given a loaner car so I did not have to wait at the dealer for the car to be completed. I put not sure for the price only because I really have nothing to compare the price to. Most likely I would think the price paid was fair.

I presented the problem with my Outback to my service agent and specifically said if it was going to cost thousands, I was just walking out with a new car. After diagnostics, I got the impression the spark plugs were the issue so agreed to that repair. Next I was told that spark plug replacement did not fix the problem but about $6000 of other repairs might fix it. I was also told that 'were it my mom, I would tell you to just get a new car.' Full circle, $900 expense and an ageism comment, that was my take away. Polite, generous with a loaner that unfortunately smelled like an ashtray, but very disappointed in the outcome. I will add that my salesperson (as i passed the time waiting for initial diagnostics looking for said new car) was great except he never mentioned there was a car available, short of not being a hybrid. Had this scenario played out properly, I would have been properly informed of the condition of my car from the beginning and willingly would have driven home in a new green Forester Touring. Instead, I spent about $900 on a car that had no trade in value and drove to Rockford to get my green Touring Hybrid. Very disappointed.
