Went for emissions testing. Not understanding all the complaints, signs were easy to read and understand, but I still stopped in the office first.. because thats just what you do, not drive into a lane expecting service. Super friendly people, got us in and out immediately, no testing required (issues with the state website said we needed emissions, but once there, they confirmed we did not). Will definitely return to this place if anything is ever needed

I came to Kennedy Auto because my go-to shop, JC Auto Pro went out of business. I scheduled an appointment to get work done on my vehicle and when it was all said and done I ended up spending about $1000 to fix an oil leak, get a new serpentine belt and get a new battery. The black guy and the woman behind the desk made my experience GREAT!!! I thought this was going to be my new go-to shop but I came back in for an emissions test and the guy doing the test was mumbling offenses about the smell of my car during the whole test. When he asked me to step out of the vehicle he was still mumbling offenses under his breath. Even my passenger heard some it. It made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. I ended up failing the test so after the test I parked and came in to talk about the failed test and the same guy looked at me like I was crazy. Then when I told him I was there for repairs recently and that he could look me up he told me he couldn’t look me up in the system. So I went back to my car to get the receipt from my last visit and when I came back in the guy ignored me and left out the door like we never spoke. The other two employees were on the phone handling business so I stood there for what felt like 10 minutes until the woman got off the phone and then I re explained everything all over again to her. She let me come around the desk to show me what the codes meant on my failed emissions test which I did appreciate she was very informative. Overall that was the worst experience I’ve had at any repair shop.

Tricky promise to take off diagnostic charge if you agree to do the work. That is an out right lie. You will still pay diagnostic charge plus balance of your bill. They can not be trusted. I had brakes and rosters replaced 2 weeks before coming . They told me I needed rosters and brakes. These people are dishonest and overpriced. !!

This is a great place for your bi-annual emissions test. Kennedy Auto Repair is super fast, and their people are very customer oriented. I Highly recommend Kennedy Auto for your emissions test, if you're in the far South Suburbs.
