Gerber Collision & Glass

When I initially called, I was told getting my car repaired from hail damage would take 2 weeks “on the long side,” 3 weeks “at most”. I finally got my car back after 24 days. I understand that hail repair requires extensive work, including taking the vehicle apart and putting it back together (which they didn’t explain initially) but I’m still disappointed with the length of time it took. What is important to me is getting my car back fully repaired and in good condition, so I guess that is worth the wait. However, when I went to pick up my car and opened the door, it was filthy. Dusty, marks on the front seats from what appears to be some kind of liquid, and something in my trunk was covered in dust(??). This is completely unacceptable. I would have taken everything out if I knew they were taking my car apart. It appears the seat also has paint or some kind of substance on it. I am baffled that any service place would give someone a vehicle back in this condition after over $8,000 worth of service. When I went to address it, I was told to bring it back next week and they could detail it. So now I have to interrupt my work week to have them clean what should have been given back to me in the same (or better) condition after them having my car all this time. I do not recommend this Gerber location. (Jackie was really nice, though!) *Edit. It gets a lot worse. Yesterday I noticed there are countless nicks all over the paint. Supposedly my car was painted, but it didn’t have these when I brought it in. They are everywhere on the front bumper, sides, as well as on the doors and mirrors. I just noticed my windshield is deeply and badly scratched, and when I went to get gas, the area to access my gas tank was filled with something. What on earth?! They really gave me back my car like this. I am begging you not to trust this place with your vehicle. If this is the damage/mess I can see, I’m afraid of what else is wrong that I can’t. Is zero stars an option?

I was updated every time my vehicle moved and was told about every step. They were very kind and patient with my vehicle. I know it was annoying to work on with the security system I have on there. I also needed assistance with my carbon fiber hood. Come to find out.. I needed my fender fixed like I said. After market parts don’t receive a warranty so proceed at your own risk. Overall, my car looks amazing and I’ll definitely return. My car came in for paint due to deep scratches all over the driver side from someone keying it. Thanks again !

I went to the Gerber in Orland park to get my car “fixed.” At first they were cool about the process told them what my concerns were they “listened.” The first date I was told was a week latest. They call me to extend the date another day no problem! Then they ordered the wrong parts here’s another couple days. Then I tell them I need it by this date because I’m going out of town. They stayed late to deliver the car which was the least they could do because they ordered the wrong parts. Then I pick it up at night then the next morning I notice the bumper isn’t aligned as it should be I call they say sure that’s fine bring it back. I bring it back they have it a couple days more. I pick it up the bumper isn’t worse at this point I take the car I call Allstate. I tell them I don’t want to take it there again because if they couldn’t get it done the second time the third time would be the same or worse. Then Gerber says there’s a scratch under the bumper so they void the warranty. Oh and the cherry on top. The people who were driving my car that worked for Gerber were speeding in my car I got an alert on my car app! MORAL OF THE STORY DONT GO TO GERBER. The Last 2 pictures are the most recent way they gave it to me. The others show how tight and wrong the fender was put on.

I enjoyed going to Gerber. they were very professional got the work done on time and was amazing work. very friendly staff especially Jackie. I High Recommend if you need work on you car.

Gerber is the best auto repair shop out there. If you ever get the option to send your vehicle there for repairs, take it. They are pros in their industry.
