We've used Cars of America in Glenview for more than 10 years. Danae was the manager we knew and loved for much of that time. Well she's back! You can count on her to provide the same thorough explanations about which issues should be addressed immediately and what repairs can wait to be done at a later date. Their mechanics keep our 2009 Highlander Hybrid and 2015 Subaru Crosstrek going strong.
View on GoogleI used to take my vehicles to CARS all the time, until I got my car in 2018 and then I went to the dealer. But, now that I am on my own, I wanted an honest answer about my car. The team didn't push me to get any additional work, but I do still wish their report had been better explained. I also was bummed to learn that they are not an independent car care company, that they are part of Great Water now. The price even for an oil change was more than I thought it would be. Again though, at least they quoted me a price for the suggested work, so I can shop around and compare. I think I will go back in 6 months, but it wasn't totally the experience I was looking for.
View on GoogleAs a longtime customer from when they first opened, we are back at CARS, having all of our vehicles serviced there again! We are so pleased to be able to be working with Danae again, as she is so efficient and knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with on all car matters!
View on GoogleI brought my SUV in for oil change, tire rotation and to check on all other required maintenance needed. I told the manager was traveling 6 hr. round trip the following week. Upon returning from my travels, I noticed a 3 ft. puddle of oil in my garage, along with more oil on driveways of people I had visited. I was told drain pan seal was bad, but I had only lost small amount of oil. My estimate is that I lost 2-3 qts. of oil in my trip. Seal should have been replaced and tightened properly. Just lost me as a customer. Don't use this shop! This is basic maintenance 101, which this shop cannot do at all.
