View on GoogleI typically do not write reviews, but felt obliged to in this case. I had a nail in a tire (center of the tread) and needed a patch. They raised the car and called me out to the garage to show me that it couldn’t be patched due to the angle that the nail punctured the tire. (It was not close to the sidewall ). He then quoted me $350 ish for a new tire, but because the tread would be different and could cause driving issues, I should really look at 4 new tires. My tires only have 18k miles on them. So instead of the $25 for the patch I’m looking at $350 or $1,050 now. I wasn’t comfortable spending that so wanted to get a second opinion. I took it to a dealership that same day without giving them any back story and they patched the tire without any problem or comment. I called this Carx back the next day to explain to the gentleman who helped me that I didn’t appreciate the lack of professionalism and was told it is a corporate policy not to patch tires when the object is on an angle. Hmm, so I called another carx and explained the angle nail in the center of the tread and that Carx said it would t be a problem. I just wonder how many people have been taken advantage of at this CarX with other issues if something as simple as a patch led to this.
