The Autobarn Service Center

I had another great experience at Evanston Mazda, this time with their service department. I came in to have a missing clip on my door replaced and to pick up the floor mats that were promised when I purchased my vehicle. While I was there, I also brought up an issue I was having with my key fob. Katie in service was extremely helpful throughout the process. She took the time to understand the issue, kept me informed, and advocated on my behalf to get a replacement key fob approved and reprogrammed. I really appreciated her willingness to help and make sure my concerns were handled. Customer service like this makes a difference, and it’s clear that Evanston Mazda values taking care of its customers even after the sale. Thank you to Katie and the service team for making the experience smooth and easy.

Just had my Mazda3 serviced today and Katie was awesome. I was greeted right away, went through the reason for the service and said it would be 1.5 hours. Within 30 minutes an inspection was done, tire rotation recommended. She offered a special with my oil change to save money. Car was washed and completed in less than 1.5 hours. Very happy with my experience.

Been going here for over 3 years, finally have a great advisor name Humberto Medina, he was first class to the point, provided everything I asked for, didn’t hesitate when I asked for the shuttle as in past visits it was like I asking for a favor to the advisor, most advisors don’t even offer it. I also notice you can get same week/day appointments on the website! I remember summer of 25 and 24 you had to wait one month for an appointment, even if it was check engine light. Great service. I feel like sometime my cover of the engine with the Mazda logo gets dirty with spilled oil when they change my oil but not sure if this is normal.

THANK YOU AUTOBARN. Yessenia was my advisor and she was great! Super friendly and had a very positive vibe. I brought in my cx50 and my father brought in his cx30 for oil changes. Yessenia kept us both informed on the process of our vehicles. The video multi point inspection was great. I love the updated system you all are using, very convenient. Waiting room was comfortable and quiet. The staff was super friendly too! Pricing was great over all. Very fair pricing. Thank you Autobarn. Love y'all. Definitely will continue to refer Autobarn to all my friends.

I'm not the only customer to write a bad review for this Mazda aka Richard Fisher Service Center, there are several one star reviews below. I tried service at this joint due to having horrible experiences at Napelton in Palatine. Well, this place is worse as my pics will show. I brought the car in for a brake warning light flashing in the dash and leaky rear shocks. My mechanic said it was a "software reset issue" I wanted those two items addressed but they insist on a $222.50 inspection of the whole car with a....video!!! Yay a video!!! BTW that charge didn't include the $26.84 'misc. charges' for a total of $251.59. Same scam at Napelton insisted on for warranty/recall work that was required by Mazda! Outright lying about getting the rear shocks replaced. They said they needed to replace the coil springs along with the links to replace the shocks. The mechanic said he would have to compress the springs to remove them to get the shocks out. Oh and that they would need to be replaced for new due to compressing them to remove them!! Isn't that the job of a coil spring to compress and retract to provide for suspension travel??? Yes it is. Price for shocks, springs and links (surface rust on the bolts, links were fine) $1485.63. Four pages worth. And there's more, how about $74.45 for a cabin air filter? I bought one for $10 and changed it out myself in 5 minutes, whew! Although my tires had only 10k on them they said they had only 20 to 50% tread remaining so they would like to "keep an eye on them". Really? Don't you wonder how they can have a nice waiting area with coffee and snacks and TV's? It's the poor folks that put their trust in these joints! All of the work that they said was needed (Four pages worth) came out to nearly $4000.00!!! That's how. Can you image an elderly or a person not knowing any better taking their word for this? This is our third and last Mazda and Mazda can thank these ridiculous service dept. practices as why!
