Sam's Auto Repair and Body Shop

I had brought my car in because my muffler detached while I was out driving. I was scrambling to find a place near me, and that also wouldn’t gouge me, as I am someone who does not know anything about cars. I took my car to Sam’s and I ended up needing a new muffler + exhaust pipe. They were able to get all the parts, install and return my car back to me within less than 24 hours! And the prices were very fair (confirmed with my dad and brother 😂) I’m very thankful to have a reliable, honest car repair shop so close to me!

Sunny, AJ and the crew here are awesome! They are extremely nice, knowledgeable and caring. Dealing with the other party's insurance is very stressful and they get it. They have been doing this business for three generations since 1936 and they know what they are doing. Honest mechanic and give reasonable pricing. Very rare to find mechanics that go out of their way to help. The accident was unfortunate, but if it wasn't for the car accident, I would have never met these guys. Glad to say I found my new mechanic!

Dishonest to the point of me directly asking them if what they're doing is a scam. They forgot to replace a pretty obvious piece above a headlight on our car that needed front end collision repair. When we took the car back for them to put on the piece they had forgotten, they suddenly remembered almost $300 they had "forgot" to charge during the initial $5,300 bill. Directly asked the employee if this was a scam which caused him to fumble but still insist on charging a forgotten fee, after we returned to have a part they had forgotten to be put on. Convenient to say the least.

Excellent work done by honest mechanics. After getting into a car accident I found Sam’s Auto Repair and Body Shop online by looking up local shops with good reviews. Sam’s Auto Repair and Body Shop had excellent reviews so I directed the tow truck to take my car to Sam’s Auto Repair and Body Shop. Within a few minutes I started receiving calls from my insurance company trying to convince me to not bring my car in. After all the work was done it was very clear to me why the insurance did not want me to go there. Sam’s Auto Repair and Body Shop did not cheap out quality and parts. They purchased quality parts from the dealer when necessary and fought with the insurance company on my behalf to cover parts of the car that were damaged in the accident that my insurance company did not think needed to be fixed. There is no doubt in my mind that if I had taken my car to my insurance company’s selected shop that the parts on my car and the work done on it would not have been completed to such a high quality. My car looks good as new. They even offer discounts to those affiliated with Northwestern and will help you get a rental car (with discount) from Enterprise. If I ever need any work done on my car again I will not hesitate to bring it to found Sam’s Auto Repair and Body Shop

I decided not to have Sam's repair my car because I sensed I might be scammed. Sam wanted me to agree to an open-ended piece of work which would be billed at an unspecified hourly rate. The work would be on a small rust patch that had already been repaired once. Sam showed me an Impreza that had similar rust repairing done. But I noticed the Impreza was blocked from being removed from the shop by another car. As if the owner had been presented with a surprisingly high bill for hourly rate work, refused to pay, and had his car blocked so it could not be removed from the shop. Apart from the fact that Sam's would only offer me a rough estimate rather than a real "quote," the price I was given that was specified was high--4K. The shop nextdoor (Mid-American) took one quick look at my car and quoted a firm price of 1500. No unspecifed hourly rate work to shock me at the end. I went with them. I urge you to do the same.
