Last Fall, I went to Import & Domestic Auto Service because it was just around the corner because I was hearing a screech in my rear tires. I figured I had just gone down on the break pads too far and that it would be a simple fix. Unfortunately, it cost me $800 - and it was NOT an approved charge (meaning they conducted the repair prior to contacting me to begin the work. I've never dealt with a dealership which didn't ask for an affirmative confirmation to begin such work - even when it's cheap and low-level.) By the time I was contacted, Import had replaced both brake sub-assemblies and I didn't want to hassle over the fact that I wasn't contacted, having clearly expressed alarm when I heard that he hadn't contacted me to begin the work and how much it cost. However, hearing the price and guessing that they likely worked on very nice cars, at least it would be a quality job. The reason for this review is now - no more than 6 months later, took my car into a dealership for a standard check-up (oil and filter) and was told that the rear brake assemblies had been installed incorrectly and they would need to be replaced - skeptical of the dealership (because, who isn't?) I pressed them on the point. Unfortunately of all the service I had brought the car in for, they emphasized it was a genuine safety concern and that they would allow me to take the car out, but that I should seek second opinions to confirm the fact. I did, and hearing the same, returned to the dealership for the fix. I was very unsatisfied with my visit.

My car had damage along one of the fenders, an area of the bumper, the fog light, and the windshield fluid reservoir was cracked. I got my car back today and it looks like nothing had ever happened to it. At the same time, they took significant measures to save me money. The price was fair, the job they did was superb, and they gave it back to me early as well! I was told when I dropped it off that I would get it back in 5 days soonest, most likely getting it back the week after. I got it back 4 days after I dropped it off. Tom and his associates are honest and professional. I couldn't recommend this place more.

Competent. Honest. Prompt. Friendly. Reasonably priced. I have an older mini van in excellent condition thanks to these folks. Not easy to find parts for it, but they find a way. As an example of helpful and trustworthy, a while back I came in with my check engine light on. Nelson looked at the readout, turned off the light and told me to come back in a few days if it comes back on. it didn't. No charge for this. Tom and Nelson deserve your business.
