KS Autocare - Best Auto Repair Shop in Elgin IL

Had an air conditioner issue. Always used my dealer but was hesitant when they quoted me an outrageous estimate just to do the test/check. Found KS Auto online and, after checking reviews, decided to give it a try. Spoke to Ivan and felt comfortable that they were not going to take advantage of my situation with a 2010 Honda that I didn’t want to spend a fortune to fix. Brought the car in at 9am. Ivan called me in a couple of hours to provide the news that I did have a leak but they could fix it for a reasonable price. Long story short….they tested for leaks/issues, fixed the problem, and refilled my refrigerant all for less than what the dealer had quoted for the test alone. Most importantly, Ivan explained everything and was professional and pleasant. Both he and Doug were responsive to my calls and questions. I will be back for future service and I highly recommend KS Autocare for your automotive repairs and maintenance.

I had a great experience at KS Autocare. I brought my vehicle in for a full inspection, oil change, and transmission fluid service, and everything was handled professionally from start to finish. They were thorough with the inspection and took the time to clearly explain what they found without any pressure or upselling. The oil change and transmission fluid change were completed efficiently, and the pricing was fair and transparent. What stood out most was their honesty and communication. It’s hard to find a shop you can trust, and KS Auto Care definitely earned mine. My car is running great, and I’ll be coming back for future maintenance. Automotive repair is something we all hate because it seems like its always costly and never something we budget for. Plus, can we trust the mechanic? We brought my son's Jetta in for rear brakes and bearings. Seth called us back with an estimate and with pictures to back it up. My husband & I have brought our cars to them for years, never disappointed, pleased with their professionalism, service and price. Seth called us back with the final bill but it was much less then initially quoted. His mechanic said the labor wasn't as long as anticipated allowing them to drop the price! In this world how often does that happen? I was also given a free rose from a local florist, (Deb's Designs South Elgin). WOW it's stuff like this that makes people keep coming back to K&S! Honesty, experience and service. We saved money for our son plus I walked away with a beautiful Rose! It doesn't get much better than that!!!

KS auto was excellent in their services. The most work I had to do was sign off on the work and pick up my car. Every detail was broken down for me to understand what was wrong and what needed to be done immediately. The estimate email I received was top notch. All I had to do was go over the issues and sign off on the work. It breaks down every detail of what they found and what they will do to fix it. The car runs well and will definitely be going back for any other maintenance needed.
