Brought my 2016 Honda Accord into Nova-K Downer's Grove. The car losing oil (76000 miles). Over 3 quarts since last oil change 6 months ago. No sign of oil leakage nor exhaust smoke or smell. Prior serviceman indicated a possible oil leak at transmisssion. Alex did a diagnostic but was a bit stumped. He did not believe the problem to be a leak. Ran a unique extended test on the car to see if there could be a problem with excess carbon build up which could cause reduced fuel efficiency and oil burning. He found the problem. His solution was ingenious and it worked. My car purrs, has its normal good MPG and the oil level remains high.

Alex is by far the best mechanic out here. He is very honest & does his best to accommodate you. I send everyone there. Prices are competitive & I never feel like he got over on me. There’s been times when I’ve dropped a car off & he’s called back to tell me that he called the dealership & this repair was covered under a warranty or recall. He could have easily charged me for those repairs, but didn’t....
