I went to A-tec auto out of the convenience that it is not too far from my home. I deal with Carmen who informed me that there were many issues with my vehicle. I expected that there were multiple issues. This is where the interaction turns a bit shady. He proceeds to describe this entire laundry list of problems with my vehicle, and as he continues with problem after problem, it's not making sense. After all is said and done, the estimate for the repairs on my vehicle is now totaling $3,000 dollars. It is at this moment that Carmen decides to "help me out" and offers to purchase the vehicle from me and "take it off my hands." Obviously, I opted out of repairing my vehicle with Carmen and took it to another shop. Low and behold, my vehicle now runs smoother than ever after having just a tune up and a couple of filters replaced for a few hundred dollars instead of thousands of dollars. My advice is STAY AWAY from Carmen at A-Tec because I will guarantee that I was not the first, nor will I be the last!
